Super coat, perfect coat weight for riding on winter days when we ACTUALLY go (above 20 deg.). Not too heavy to actually groom, ride, and clean up afterward. Only drawback for me was the sleeves are a little short. I have longer arms than most, so might be fine for others.

This is an awesome coat! I love all the zippers, pockets and vents. It is extremely versatile (I even use it when snowshoeing!) and stylish! I did heed the warnings of the coat running large and ordered a size smaller which resulted in a perfect fit! I highly recommend this coat!

This is an awesome jacket! I took heed to the warnings of ordering a size down and it fits perfectly! I've worn it riding and recently even wore it out snowshoeing for five hours. What a versatile jacket! I love the vents (which can cool you off or keep the heat in), all the zippered pockets placed quite strategically, and the hood. I LOVE this jacket!!

I purchased this jacket during the first week of January of this year. Our winter here in NC has been pretty mild, and I was mainly looking for something rain-proof that I could wear while doing chores and riding. Well, the temps dropped and we got about 5 days of rain, so I have put it to good use! It is warm, and sized generously enough for a couple of layers. Definitely kept the rain off, and the wrists are adjustable, so you can tighten them a bit so you stay dry while riding/working. The only negative thing I have to say this early in the game is that the hood is kind of small..I wear an XS, and have a proportionately small noggin--still didn't provide quite enough coverage from the rain. On the other hand, the hood definitely doesn't obscure vision, something that has annoyed me about other jackets I have owned.
I have just worn this jacket during the last couple of weeks, but I get compliments every time, and I have been really happy with the comfort and fit overall.

Love it! Also get great complements on it. I usually have a hard time with jackets being too tight in the shoulder and upper arm area and sleeves too short if it does fit, but not with this jacket. Plenty of room and sleeves are great. I bought it for riding a few years ago but loved it so much I only used it for my good jacket. this year I bought a few more because they are such great jackets, maybe now I will retire the other for riding finally. It looks great, slimming effect really works, pockets are well thought out and is nice and warm for most of our Missouri winter weather. I would consider it more of a medium weight winter coat. I bought the Original Mnt Horse jacket for my heavy coat and the two make a great pair to cover the winter temps. Seems as though every detail was thought out perfectly and it is a very classy coat.

I have long been a fan of the Mountain Horse Products. I have tall winter boots, paddock boots, and various other items. They have all been well made and clever in their design. I shopped around a long time before deciding on this jacket. I am so gald I made the purchase!
The jacket is well made and has some very clever and handy design elements. I never wear a hood so being able to detach it was a plus for me. It fits just great and I get compliments every time I wear it.

This Mountain Horse Grace Jacket is the best jacket I have ever had. It keeps me very warm in the pacific nw, and all I need to wear under it is a t-shirt. I keeps the wind out, rain out, and breathes enought that I don't get sweaty. Lots of room to move my arms cleaning stalls and riding. No restrictions. I took the advice of ordering one size smaller than I thought I would need, and it's a perfect fit!

I have had this jacket about 3 weeks and have been rotating its wear with the brown I got from another vendor. I bought both on sale which makes me happy. I'm a trainer in a heated MN stable and arena, 40-45 degrees. I love the fit, roomy true to size. I like the roominess to put layers underneath. If I ride hard probably too warm but comfortable to go from driving one horse to riding a maintenence horse to standing around giving a lesson to walking outside to paddocks and back...don't tend to get chilled which has been my problem for 3 decades. I do not like the placements of the vents, wish they would have had them also on the sides. Have not washed but I am expecting them to wash well. I do not wear the hood so can't comment. I purchased as an investment so I hope they will last a long time. Nice view from behind, no catching on saddle. Lots of compliments, very professional look.

I have only been wearing this jacket about 3 weeks, but am very pleased w/it. It has been wind and rain tested and handled both exceptionally well. It is likely not the warmest jacket going on its own, but I prefer to layer in the winter. I usually wear a medium, but large was a better fit for me and allowed for a layer or 2 w/o being too snug. Can't say how durable it will be, but I like the material and it seems comparable to some of my turnout sheets so I'm expecting good things. One criticism--I would have prefered a more generous hood, but it too cuts the wind so I can't complain much.

This week the weather turned cold enough to put my new Mountain Horse Grace jacket to the test, and it passed with flying colors. I was toasty warm in the cold barn and even outside in the pasture. When I began to feel overheated riding in the slightly warmer arena, I unzipped the vents in front. (There are others in back.)
This coat is so comfortable for riding. Unlike my last one, it has plenty of room through the shoulders. Looks good, too. I've received several compliments on it.

Although I was a little hesitant to spend almost $200 on a jacket that I would wear out to the barn, I had seen really great reviews for this jacket and all of the Mountain Horse products. Plus, I own a pair of the MH Polar FS riding pants and they keep me from freezing during riding in the winter. I really like the way the jacket fits and it keeps me warm & dry. I'm still having a little sticker shock, but from other reviews I have read I should have this jacket for a long time.

Mountain Horse products seem to run very large. From now on, if I order this brand again, I will always get a size smaller than I actually wear. I had to make an exchange on this one. I am very happy with the jacket, in spite of the sizing problem, because it is very warm and has all the features of a great riding jacket.

This is quite possibly the best riding jacket ever designed. I recommend it to everyone. It is cut a little large, so order a size down from what you normally would order. The only flaw to it's otherwise perfection is the cell phone pocket is too small for an IPhone or Blackberry.

I received this as a birthday gift this year and just love it! It is warm without being too bulky and roomy enough for a fleece layer. It has loads of pockets. I like the longer back and shorter front length for freedom in the saddle. I am tall, with a long torso and long arms, and the XL fits great. The jacket does have a drawstring at the waist, not the bottom hem, to keep out drafts. A must have if you live and ride in a cold climate.
