"I have an old nylon/neoprene surcingle that has held up pretty well, but it barely goes around my 16-1 mare and the holes are fraying badly. I decided to replace it, and I have always been a fan of real leather for durability. I was not disappointed with this surcingle. The buckles with rollers work wonderfully. It is generously sized and is constructed well. It has padding for the wither area. My only problem was that the rings are not large enough to allow the snaps of my elastic side reins to pass through - but I was able to work around that. No problem with my leather/donut side reins. Over all, for the price, this is a good product, and I look forward to using it for years to come."
