Barnsby N-Gage Dressage Saddle
The N-Gage is Barnsby?s most popular and technically advanced dressage saddle. Created in smooth black buffalo leather on a radically new tree, it has an open head and reverse points to allow maximum lateral bend and flexion, making it suited to broader, flatter backed dressage horses. The wool-flocked panels and 3-strap (triangle) billeting system provide additional comfort for the horse. A narrower twist, triple-foam cushion seat, pre-formed large knee blocks and soft knee pad address rider comfort.

"The N-Gage came to me as a test ride. I'd been having some trouble fitting a shorter-backed Holsteiner with a lower wither and a round back. This saddle is comfortable for myself and I notice a big difference in my horse's movement. He's relaxed and happy. I ended up keeping the test ride. I'm used to riding in a close contact saddle and like that this saddle keeps you secure but without that feeling of being locked into position."

"This is an absolutely phenomenal piece of equipment. The saddle places the rider in an absolutely correct position. It has a lovely padded seat and ample knee and thigh blocks. "I tried the Barnsby Ngage after my mare outgrew her County. It fit me like a glove, but unfortunately it did not fit her. The seat is extremely comfortable and the narrow twist is perfect. The thigh blocks are noticable, but not restrictive. Customer service was fabulous! They emailed me the return UPS label and I shipped it back for free. They called me to confirm they had received it. All in all a great experience and lovely saddle."

"I looked long and hard to fit 2 horses. I am fussy on fit. I took a chance (from the description on the website) but the risk was low because of the trial period, and the inexpensive shipping cost. I wasn't sure of width but after some (good) advice from a SmartPak representative I went with the medium and I am glad I did! It was perfect. I use it on an Andalusian cross and a TB/WB cross and I have never had such a great fitting saddle. My horses love the cushy panels perfectly stuffed to allow good wither and spinal clearance, and I have noticed so much more freedom in their movement that I attribute to the innovative tree design, which is one of the main reasons that I chose this saddle. The leather is superb and I just fit into it like it was designed for me. I especially like the narrow twist. I am thrilled."

"I have owned a gazillion types of dressage saddles, this is the first one I have ever purchased made in England..........and the best in fit, comfort (horse and rider) and quality. Very impressed by Barnsby saddles.........my horse loves the oversized cushioned pannels.......she responds very well and better than before. This saddle fits both my andalusians and our Swedish WB school horse. Very Fantastic indeed."

"This saddle is the ultimate wonderfully comfortable saddle. Unfortunately, I do not own one. I ordered one in to try and even the xtra wide was not wide enough for my horses. BUT, it is wonderfully comfortable, beautifully constructed and the leather is soft. I am VERY tall so the half thigh roll is an ideal choice. Lucky is the person who has a horse that is able to fit one of the trees!!"
