The Der Dau Boot Conditioner is able to nourish the leather and its fibers, protecting your boot and leaving the leather feeling soft and smooth. Unlike many other leather dressings, The Der Dau Boot Conditioner does not use chemical solvents which can cause discoloration or other damages. This conditioner does not leave a greasy or tacky feel to the surface of the leather. 8oz

"it really works! visibly conditions boots. only reason it was not 5 stars all around is because of the design of the lid, which leaks a little too easily. just be sure to put lid on tight and upright!"

"I've been using this conditioner on both my newer field boots and my old Western boots for months and, seriously, it's worthwhile. The old ropers were looking like parched husks of their former selves, but a light coat of this really renewed them and gave them a wonderful suppleness and brought back their original rich color. The field boots, which I've been using non-stop all summer, were enduring a barrage of dust, water and horse sweat, but the conditioner really seems to deeply nourish them and keep the elements from doing much actual damage. I really focus on the ankle area since it bends and creases the most and I don't want the leather to start cracking.
Application is really easy. I just shake the bottle, squeeze a little bit onto one of those round yellow tack sponges, wipe it on and then work it in with gentle circles. It absorbs easily and doesn't leave any sort of tackiness, slickness or residue of any kind. It even smells sort of good. I think it will last a long time-- I've barely made a dent in my first bottle.
It makes no sense to spend hundreds of dollars on high quality leather boots and then not take care of them!"

"I have a pair of custom boots and the manufacturer told me to alternate conditioner with polish so the natural oils would be regularly replenished and wax wouldn't build up. I was quickly running out of their brand's product and beginning to panic that I wasn't going to be able to find another boot conditioner of such high quality. Then SmartPak started carrying Der Dau's Boot Conditioner and since I knew Der Dau was a top notch boot maker, I decided to give theirs a try. I love it, what a relief! It's like good makeup, you only need a small amount. It goes on smoothly and evenly and I feel like I'm really caring for my boots when I apply it. Just remember to shake well before use, as conditioners do separate and you want a nice, even mix for best results."
