I bought this in black since it is on sale. According to the size chart I would need a medium but my hips and thighs are larger than my waist (pear-shaped!) so I sent them back and got a large. Works for me because I do not have a tummy issue. These are very well made, comfy, and I will also wear them under 'normal' clothes when needed.

I don't use these to keep things from jiggling, so I can't comment on if they help with that. I wear them as an extra layer during the summer to control moisture. They just make me feel better under thin breeches. I don't worry about sweat when I'm wearing them. Waist band is not tight like others I have worn.

I really liked these, they aren't too hot and they stay up and don't roll down at the waist. I even wear them with just regular tights when Im not riding to give a smoother tighter shape.

I have been struggling for years with finding a shaper that I could comfortably wear under my breeches that would hide my oh-so-ugly lumps and bumps that I gained after having to take time off for an injury. SmartSlim is the best shaper ever! I wear mine all day under breeches and even to work. These are comfortable and durable and I don't think I will ever be able to own enough pairs. Consider getting this in multiple colors and wearing it under street/office wear - much more comfortable than any other "control" garment available and adds a layer of slight warmth, no bulk and not too much heat if you are in/out/back/forth in chilly temperatures.

I love these things! I am a larger rider and they fit nicely. They do an excellent job of smoothing out the lumps and bumps under my jods. They are holding up fairly well under constant use, but are starting to show some wear. They have been a lifesaver on the cooler days this fall. I wore them under my jods for a 5 day ride in the mountains in october with the weather in the 30-40F range and stayed warm and felt well supported.
The only complaint I have is about the metallic stitching on the pull loops. It itches terribly if it gets against my skin. I just tuck my shirt into the waistband, but softer stitching would be a big improvment. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 just because of this issue. They seem to run a bit big, but I am grateful for the extra room.

Like others, I found the waist band to be too tight/uncomfortable and the rest of the of the Smartslim to be too large. I am not overweight, but very average and was surprised by how restrictive the waist felt.

These are excellent for everyone, they definitely help smooth anything that needs to be smoothed under your breeches. I am 5'5" and 110 lbs and my legs are slim so I ordered the Small and they're almost too tight but they still work so I'm not returning them.
One thing I don't like in general is high-rise waistbands which this has but again for those who look to support that area it would be a benefit.

Very happy with my purchase! I got these for my first hunter show, and they did a great job. I was able to slip my jods easily over these in the trailer, I had no panty-lines, and didn't over-heat in 98 degree weather! The medium fit perfect with the measurements listed. Comfortable, job well done, and affordable!!

I had heard good things about the Smartslim and had considered buying them, but never quite pulled the trigger. Then just as I was returning to recognized showing (as in, white breeches) after a layoff, I saw the coupon on the Smartpak calendar. Decided to try a pair as my 10 year old show breeches are a little snug. Smartslim's were surprisingly comfortable, and they made it really easy to get the breeches on and off, even in the tack room of my trailer on a 95 degree day! Made the breeches look good too, by eliminating lumps and bumps and visible panty lines. Cool and comfortable. Next I plan to try them out under dress pants!

I read the reviews before I purchased this item and from those reviews thought the "Smart Slim" would be worth a try. I like them enough, but in all honesty, I do not like the fact that the waist band rolls down. It does not stay put at all. Maybe these bottoms need to be paired with a top? Maybe I am just built wrong? My waist is a 30, but my hips are a 37. I wear a size 8 to size 10 in pants. I am sure these look good under my white breeches, but that roll at my tummy is not good. I am keeping them for winter riding. Here in the land of 100+ degree days, we don't wear a lot (thin, short sleeve or sleeveless shirts) and the lump is noticeable.

Love this product 'got one pair, used every day so got 2 more pair. Best for spring and fall every day or summer for shows only( gets hot). Winter OK but I use long johns then for warmth. They have no chaffing and no rolling down. No panty line. Really love them and as long as they make them I will buy them . More cumfy than Spanx too

These are a great product!!!! I wore them in the 90's and they did not feel heavy or hot under my breeches. They are great about hiding those problem areas!! They gave me more confidence while wearing white breeches!! Would recommend these!!

Smart slim are great!!! I was so nervous about showing at my first recognized dressage show, in the white breeches and being a little heavy, but the Smart slim helped make me comfortable and relaxed!! They fit great!! It was in the high 80's the day I was showing, and the Smart slim were cool under my breeches. I would recommend these to anyone wanted a little extra support and coverage!!
