"Shopping for field boots, so easy, so convenient to be allowed to order them, try them on at home and return if they do not fit. Sadly these did not fit, they were too short, I needed a tall boot and they were out of stock."

"I have always bought Ariat tall boots but recently they have really been declining in quality. Every pair of Ariat boots I have had have broken within the first year. I also ride for a team and the other girls who have Ariat boots have had many problems as well. Definitely not worth the money when there are much nicer boots for the same price such as Tredsteps."

"I absolutely love these boots! I originally purchased them in 2008, and while they've been retired from show use, I still use them every day to ride. They are easy to maintain and the leather breaks in very easily. No they aren't customs and no they didn't cost $1000, but they feel like it. Unless you have strange proportions that force you to purchase customs, these are perfectly fine. Also, I've found that if you pay much more than this, the leather is so fine and nice that it breaks down much faster. Overall, best boots for the money!"

"I absolutely love these boots. They're perfect if you're going back and forth from schooling to teaching or doing barn work , which I love! I school anywhere from 2 to 5 horses a day as well as tons of barn work so these boots work great. I also have a very tiny ankles and these have great fit around around my ankles while other boots I tried did not. They're also super comfortable! I could run miles in them and be comfortable. They're definitely a great buy and I totally recommend them."

"I received a pair of these boots recently as a gift. I was prepared for weeks of rubs and blisters, but after only two days of wearing them around the barn & riding in them for a few hours, they'd started to drop comfortably! No blisters, no rubs, and now they're so comfy I could run a marathon in them!"

"These are my schooling boots, and let me tell you they've well earned their keep!
I ride in them all seasons, all day. Through rain, mud and snow and they've held up great! The leather is what you pay for.. durable and holds up well for what I put them through. They clean up nicely with a damp rag and look great if I have the time to polish them!
These are fantastic every day schooling boots!"

"I can't say enough about these. I simply adore these boots. I am a major tack junkie, I especially love boots. The fit is true and the material is extremely sleek and beautiful. The zipper is smooth and functional. It fits very silm and contours around my leg perfectly. I have a couple pairs of Ariat boots and while they do come with a price tag, they are definitely worth the price! Once you buy a pair of Ariat boots (or anything Ariat) you can never look back!"

Sumptuous leather, nice fitting contoured calf

"After trying 5 pairs of boots from 4 different makers, I fell in love with these. The fit is more contoured in the calf than any of the others I tried, including the less and more expensive Ariat Field boots. The leather is luxurious but not so soft that they don't look sharp after breaking in. Even In Louisiana heat my feet don't get hot (as they do with paddock boots). I pray they don't discontinue these. No problems at all with the zipper and the lace design is very smart and sleek. I highly highly recommend these boots."

"I've had these boots for about a year and a half and they're breaking apart. The leather is dangerously thin now in the calf, and is breaking on each boot. Quite frustrating, and I'd be surprised if they lasted until the end of the show season."

"Very nice fit and a real quality boot for the money. I was concerned with ordering without trying them on, and figured we would be shipping boots back and forth. However, with help of the sizing chart they fit on the first try. Of course with Smart Paks great free shipping back and forth, returns would be easy."

"I got these boots as a replacement for my old Mountain Horse tall boots but they didn't fit... I ordered a full calf as that was the size I measured at but when they arrived they were huge around my calves. I exchanged them for a regular calf and that was too small. They are very nice boots for the price and I wish they would fit but I think I am going back to Mountain Horse."

"I've have these for 7 years now, I can't even believe it. They have held up very well. I bought these for my first horse show, and they have accompanied me to every single horse show thereafter. They are a wonderful all around pair which will be retired soon because after all that wear the leather on the inside is growing thin. And after all their use these long years they are ready to be turned in."

"I am about 5'5 and maybe 135 and I have these boots in a 8.5 shoe size (i normally wear 8.5 or 9) with the medium height and regular calf. These boots were pretty uncomfortable at first but now are great- I can wear them all day. I have had mine for a little over a year and I wear them daily. They have not broken down too much height wise. They are however getting rub marks on the inside but I guess that is to be expected now given the amount of wear I have put on them. I actually had to send my first pair back because after not even 10 rides the insides were very worn and discolored. My only other complaint is that they don't seem to have as slim a fit as some others but they aren't custom and as Slim is just a bit too tight for me I had to settle for the Regular. But I have been very happy with this pair and wouldn't hesitate to buy another pair."

"These boots are awesome. I am 5'4, 110 pounds, and normally a size 6.5 in shoes. I ordered the short/reg height with a normal calf and size 7 and they fit perfectly. They break in nicely in a few weeks. A great buy for the price! They are very durable and fancy. Perfect for the show ring without spending 1000 dollars on custom boots."

"I bought these boots, because my other boots no longer fit and these had the largest calf size. I've only had them a week, but they are already breaking in nicely. The leather has stretched perfectly, giving my leg a flattering shape. These boots are definately better than the Herritage selects and worth the exra money."

"I bought these boots 4 years ago and they are still gorgeous. They have done lessons, clinics and the rated circuit and the only wear they have to show is some thin patches on the inside of each calf and one of the buttons broke off just this past year but was easily fixed. They fit very well a hair large in the calf but the ankle is just lovely, it is so soft and flexible I have no problem with my heels. I'm not sure if when the time comes that I need to replace mine that I will get a second pair though because the tredstep donatello look very nice and are cheaper which is always a plus because the rated circuit does suck your wallet thin!"

"Got these as a birthday present, and my goodness they are perfect. The ankle is much more slimming than the Heritage boots. I've ridden in them once and they already are mostly broken in. The Spanish cut top looks really classy. Zippers are fantastic and the foot is really comfortable. Quite a step up from my older model Ariats that ripped my feet apart!"

"The calf leather is contoured, fitting close in the ankle, then bowing out to accommodate the calf and narrowing at the top, so as not to create a huge gap behind the knee. Leather is more substantial than the Heritage and absolutely sumptuous. The zipper is low enough for easy on/off. Spanish tops make the line very attractive while in the saddle. The laces are elastic and continuous, giving them a sleek line in the front. Wearing them for a week was adequate for breaking in. In the soles, they fit exactly like the paddock boot. Glad I spent the extra money and purchased these boots.
(NOTE I tried the Ariat Heritage Select Field Boot first and it was a really nice boot except the fit in the calf is fairly straight, the leather thinner and the laces tied. I ordered the size to fit the largest part of my calf but that made the rest of the leg very loose with a huge gap at the knee. Then I ordered the Ariat Challenge II Field Boot and am glad I spent the extra money.)

"My dear husband gave me a pair of these for my birthday, and they're by far the best field boots I've ever had. The semi-custom fit is a great option for those of us who can't justify the splurge on actual custom boots. After two days around the barn and a few schooling rides, they were broken in with minimal pain (always a plus). They're stylish and classy, not too fancy to school in but still beautiful and polished in the show ring. The soles are comfortable and supportive, I almost don't want to take them off!"
