"Washed a mid-weight blanket with this. Blanket came out of the washer still dirty. Didn't think too much of it because the blanket was quite dirty and I figured it would need a couple washes. After a second wash with this product the blanket still didn't seem clean and still didn't smell fresh. Ended up washing the blanket a third time with the detergents I normally use on my horse laundry. I wanted to give this product another chance so, I tried it on some saddle pads that were not very dirty. Even these came out of the wash not smelling clean and needing a second wash. I just can't recommend this product."

"I thought that it worked ok, but the smell didn't come out of winter turnout after 2 washings. (Although maybe there's a better technique for washing these). I also had trouble with the pump thing, it just would drip. A regular cap would be better."

"After washing my horse's winter blankets using Leather Therapy Saddle Pad and Blanket wash, I am not impressed. I took the blankets to my local laundromat and followed the washing instructions on the bottle, adding extra soap as the blankets were fairly dirty.
I had to wash both of his midweights twice!!!!! The second time just to get the ridiculous amount of soap out of the blankets (ran them just through the wash with no soap)! Took all the blankets home to line dry in my laundry room. I had red puddles beneath both blankets from the red clay STILL in the blankets after two washings!! I spent $20 at the laundromat and $20 for the soap. I could have paid someone a lot less to wash and REPAIR the blankets for me!
Am not happy with this product as a blanket wash. Works fine on saddle pads but forget blankets!"

"Used this on a couple of loads of equine laundry and so far, everything comes out clean with a lite fresh sent. Have not seen any skin issues from my Thoroughbred. My only issue is that you're paying about $20 to wash 8 loads of laundry!"

"I bought this product several months ago on a recommendation from a friend. It turns out it is very good at removing odors, but not so fantastic at the stains. However in combination with other products I am very happy with it and I will buy it again. It gets the horsey smells out of filthy blankets, saddle pads and wraps. It needs a stain remover product added into the wash to get out the actual filth. It doesn't take very much of the product added to the wash to be effective. I have a front loader machine."

"While I've long washed my saddle pads with regular detergent, we received a free sample of this product while attending Rolex 2008. It is fantastic! In the deep South, saddle pads are soaked in sweat after one use in the summer. Leather Therapy's product especially cleans our pads, girth covers, and bandages without leaving them stiff or partially cleaned. The product smells great and the pump makes it easy to dispense in the washer.
It's only available in 2 sizes: the small is good for about 8 washes and the large seems really expensive unless you are washing ALOT. The cost is the only gripe - seems like they could manufacture this without the high price."
