Very comfortable saddle, nice quality leather. I found the gullet plates a little tricky to change, especially going from medium to wider widths. SmartPak was great to work with even allowing me extra time to try the saddle since I needed to get a wider plate. Actually being able to ride in the saddle for several days was great. Thank you so much!

I just bought this, and thought I died and went to riding-heaven the first time I rode in it. As far as rider fit, this is by far the best saddle I've ridden in over the years. It instantly put me in a perfect position for H/J. This saddle is ideal for jumping -- it made me feel like rising up into a half-seat was "right," and I have never felt more secure over fences. The degree of closeness (especially through the flaps) was also awesome for flatwork. I was glued to my horse, in flawless position, and it was so easy!

The reason why I didn't give this saddle a 5 is because of the fit & value -- since I needed a Wide tree, I had to order the gullet separately and add that to the price of the saddle (which came with a medium). I'd really like to see Pessoa offer all gullet sizes included with these models, because that's why people buy changeable gullets! Additionally, even with the wide gullet, my saddle fitter recommended I get it reflocked with wool. My horse is very difficult to fit, so I'm sure this wouldn't be a problem for most horses, but it would have been nice to have a wool option available to purchase.

Otherwise, no complaints -- everyone who has seen this comments on how beautiful it is, and the balance is impeccable.

This saddle fit my 16.2 quarter horse well with the standard sized gullet that comes with the saddle. The saddle has a comfortable seat and places your leg in a natural position. I was able to 'test ride' this saddle using SmartPak's test ride program and would highly recommend the 'test ride' program for anyone searching for a new saddle. I was able to 'test' a new saddle and the process is very easy. The 'test ride' program is a wonderful program and it is a shame other companies don't model SmartPak's program, as I would recommend SmartPak's 'test ride' program to anyone! :)

I got this saddle to test ride and I loved it!! I rode in it once and it put me in a nice position and it was REALLY comfortable. It fit my extra wide QH very well (with the XW gullet). It is a really pretty saddle and I like the calf skin knee rolls and seat.
I would have kept it if it fit my leg..My thigh is long and my knees were hanging over the knee rolls.

I love this saddle-had it for just over a year and it's the best! And the ability to change the gullet to make it narrower or wider is a big plus...the salesperson at the store helped me change the gullet to a wider one and it fits my slightly wide QH/Appaloosa perfectly! It's so comfortable and has a very secure feeling to it, which is especially helpful when jumping courses with tighter turns or when I drop my stirrups because i don't feel like I'm off balance at all. I also feel more in-sync with my horse and his movements.

This saddle is gorgeous - the leather is soft and supple, and the stitching is very attractive. I sat in it at the store and fell in love, and I couldn't believe how well I was able to ride when I put it on my horse. It was super supportive and put me in a great position, both between and over the jumps. I was able to recover on landing much quicker than in my old saddle. The best part for me is the changeable gullet, which is really easy to do. I have a few horses to ride, and while I don't change it every day, it is nice that I can use this saddle on a narrow TB as well as a chunky WB.
