"While I personally like the Absorbine lip conditioner just a little more for it's deeper softening, Effol is very good, does not have an offensive smell or taste, protects from the sun and does pretty well at softening and protecting my lips."

"The lip balm smells great, goes on smoothly. The problems lie in the packaging. Every time you press the balm on your lips, it rotates down into the tube. A more traditional cap would be easier. Also, taste! The balm doesn't taste bad, per say, but leaves a very odd after taste in the back of your throat. Overall, this lib balm is great for softening and sun protection, but has some major drawbacks."

"I bought this because I was too lazy to go to the store and get some more chapstick for myself.(SmartPak is just a little too convenient sometimes! lol) I love it so far. It is really firm gloss so you don't use 1/2 a tube everytime you put it on like some other brands I've used. The only thing I don't like is the applicator, the cap runs the whole length of the tube. I like the traditional caps a lot better."

"This lip balm smells great. I love the texture - it goes on smoothly and isn't sticky at all. Unlike a lot of other lip balms, I never taste it while I'm wearing it. The SPF is what really sold me on this - it helps keep my lips from becoming chapped and sunburnt during a long show day. Highly recommend!"

"Nice light scent and creamy texture that goes on smooth and lasts on your lips. I've not had a problem with getting white lips after I apply it like some other lip balms I've tried. An added bonus is that it's 20 SPF as I'm very sensitive to the sun. I think I've found a new favourite!"

"The very first time I went to open the lip-balm container the stick of chap-stick fell out. The package was brand new and should not have had that problem. I pushed it back in and it hasn't come out again. This product smells amazing!!! I wish air fresheners came in this scent. Also, be careful when applying this product. Too much back-and-forth per say leads to white lips."

"I bought two of these lip balms and although I prefer my usual, my daughter (14yrs old) likes it very much. I must say because of the vanilla, the gnats stays away from my face more.

"I'm a bit of a lip balm fanatic, so when I saw this (and the cute horse pic on it) I thought I would give it a try. Glad I did b/c it has become an everyday staple for me. It is not sticky, goes on really smooth and lasts longer that most balms. It has a great smell and tastes good too. I also used it for stocking stuffers at the barn this year-it was a hit!"
