"I wanted to be able to wear these, but the size 38, which I thought meant 38 inches at the waist, were way too small---like at least 3 sizes too small.
I like the fabric, I love the pockets, but the sizing...they are not like a 38 inches would be..."

"I have had these breeches about 6 weeks now, and like them much better than the first times I wore them. They broke in nicely and are now very comfortable, and give a flattering outline. Nice breech for the price, wish they came in more colors. Also I'd like a slightly wider waist band."

"I hate those ridiculous little zip pockets that would barely hold two sugar cubes. These have nice deep pockets and the button design is flattering for the hips. They are a bit long for me and I'm 5'7", but the fit and relatively thick fabric are great. I don't feel like I need to wear Spanx or SmartSlim underneath them. I wear a 30-31 in jeans, but I got the 34 and they fit well."

"I already owned a pair of Treadstone breeches in another color, which are the most comfortable breeches I own. I was slightly disappointed to find that this pair doesn't fit the same. They are snug in the crotch and the seam on the knee gave me a rub the first time I wore them. I have only worn them twice now and they seem to be breaking in and fitting better."

"have had my breeches almost a year and so far they are holding up to working and riding in them full time. pretty happy with them. did have to mend one seam that loosen by waist but caught it early and fixed it easily."

"these breeches are well made, and really comfortable right out of the package. I don't like super high waist, but I am definitely not a fan of the low rise, the waist sits perfectly. If I had any complaint it would be that they aren't offered in solid colors, however the blue/black plaid is very toned down."

"I specifically ordered these for the real pockets, which are deep and do have a snap to hold in stuff. I did have to order the next size larger, but they do fit very well. They seem very comfortable but have not yet worn them because of the heat we have been having, and they are of a good weight. I think I am going to like them very much."

"It's so hard for someone my size to find breeches that fit, so when I found these, I bought 3 pairs! In fact, I just ordered my fourth. I absolutely LOVE them! I only had one pair that was a little tight around the knee area, but it stretches out after I wear them for a few minutes. They are SO comfortable and I LOVE the pockets because I put my gloves, treats, etc., and they are easy to get to! No zippers, which means I don't have to take my gloves off while riding to reach in and get a little treat!
I have only had one pair (same one that has tight knees) that has started balling up on the seat. I don't care, though - because these breeches are AWESOME!

"I liked a lot about these breeches, especially for the price. The fabric was a bit stiff, but okay overall. I ended up returning them, however, because of the fit from the knee down: baggy and too long for a petite rider like me (110 lb/5'3"). So hard to find good fit for petites! Help us, Smartpak!"

"I am new to dressage and these are the first breeches I've owned. They fit very well, but are probably sized a little small. I wear a size 12 in regular slacks, and the 34s fit, but are a little tight. The rise could be a little higher (but that's my preference). I have washed them several times (inside-out, cold water, delicate cycle) and hang to dry. One of the reviewers mentioned that the breeches 'puckered up' after washing, and they did. But once you put them on, they smooth out and look great. I purchased both the navy and the brown. They are very classy looking (the brown pattern is more distinctive). Wish they came in other colors/patterns. Overall, these are excellent breeches and the price is very reasonable."

"I have had these breeches over a month and they are nice and holding up well. I read some reviews about the material getting funny after washing. I have not found this and I wash them with other dark clothes...nothing special. I hang them up to dry as I do with all breeches.
I do not find them to be true to size. The waist is very tight on me when other breeches same size are on the looser side. Other than being a little short in the waist to crotch area, they are fine. I just wish the waist wasn't so tight. I do continue to wear them though."

I have never owned a pair of Treadstone's' before, but they are all I will buy from now on. Being a "Full Fillie" finding equestrian wear is always a challenge. "The price seemed good for such a nice-looking pair of breeches, and when they arrived, I was not disappointed. Tried them on, and loooved the fit and feel! The disappointment came after the first washing, however..The fabric bulged and puckered very oddly, despite my following the washing and drying instructions to the letter. Smartpak's customer service was fantastic (as usual!) and sent me another pair promptly. Too sad--these breeches were too good to be true..They were sharp-looking, and as comfortable as pj's, but the second pair did the same thing after washing..With Woolite!! In a front-loading washer on the gentle cycle. Could have been a fluke--so many of the reviews were glowing endorsements, but beware the size 26 navy/black checks. Bad batch, perhaps. I was even tempted to try the other color, I liked them so much, but decided it would be wiser to spend my $ on other things."

"I wasn't sure I would like the brown plaid but I am very happy with them. They are a true 26 and fit really well. I am a trainer and am very hard on my equipment!! The full seat works really well. They have been washed only once-haven't had them very long-and came out of the washer just fine.
