"This is the only saddle pad I use aside from Back On Tracks and I use it alone. I bought it initially because my horse hates half-pads, sheepskin, gel or anything that creates bulk between his back and my seat but I want to provide at least a little cushion for both of us. I was skeptical as to whether such thin foam could make a difference but it works and I find it a more comfortable ride.
It is also beautiful, fits perfectly (no ugly bunching or stretching), stays in place, clears the withers, washes well, and is large enough for 18" saddles. While I consider $90 a high price for a non-therapeutic pad, it is better than everything else I have tried so I suppose it is justified."

"My saddle fitter told me to get a pad that was firmer so it would dissipate weight and pressure over my horse's entire back, not just under where I sit. I have a Mattes half pad with shims I used my he was growing and we couldn't find a saddle to fit him. Since it's a stiff, heavy quilt, I decided to try their full-size pad. It's just as firm as the half pad and does a nice job of speading the energy. In fact, it's so nice we've decided to keep it for our show pad! Now I just have to get it embroidered . . ."
