Mattes Sheepskin Boots
Phenominal sheepskin boots designed by Peter Mattes and Klaus Balkenhol. A specially molded ankle area provides optimal protection and allows the ankle joint to move freely and unhindered. Sheepskin's natural properties reduce friction and increase air flow to the horse's legs. The sheepskin lining can be removed for easy washing with Black or White. Front or Hind. Pair.

"I was disappointed in the boot sizing. The horse size would be for a very small horse only. I had to return for the WB X-large, and my horse is by no means an X-Large horse .
I'm still awaiting the replacement so maybe I will like them better if the sizing is better."

"I love the sheepskin. It's a little heavier than expected but very protective boot. My only real complaint is that there is only one size. The fronts run a little tan in size, but the width is good. So they only fit my taller Throughbreds (16.3 hands), but still could be a bit shorter for them. I have not bought the hind boots yet since I'm afraid they may be too big. Otherwise, they are a great boot."

"I bought these boots specifically to get the benefit of the sheepskin lining. They're great, but I have some doubt about the lining's ability to withstand frequent washing even with MELP, so I don't think these are ideal for use when the conditions will get them caked with dirt and sweat. It takes a long time for the lining to air dry after washing. Other than that, they fit great and the hard shell seems more likely to protect against strike injuries."

"Just as I came to love my Mattes Pad, I love these boots! They are easier to clean than the other boots I have used and can use the Melp from my pad to keep them looking sharp and neat."
