"I wanted the SmartPak quality in a turnout sheet and had a little trouble find this one because of the name (blanket). However, a very knowledgeable and thorough Sales Rep helped me find exactly what I wanted: rugged, waterproof, no fill. My thoroughbred is in a rough group but so far so good. And I like the deep, dark navy color--it truly is a classic! Like other reviewers have already said, the buckles and bindings on this and other SmartPak turnouts are top-notch, so that's never a concern. Here's to getting through another chilly, damp spring!"

"I bought this blanket when the weather turned really cold and my horse and I both love it! The fabric is heavy, good quality water resistent material, the lining is smooth nylon and the blanket has plenty of fill to keep my horse warm. The 81 fits him just right and it came with leg straps. When my other horses' blankets wear out, I'm definitely getting more of these for really cold turnout! It is a great buy."

"I ordered the hunter green blanket and my dark bay mare looks very chic. She's in a run-in situation so is out all the time. The blanket keeps her toasty warm from the raging winds coming down from the foothills. The coverage of the blanket is great and the buckles and attachment points seem to be well done. It's a good value."

"I also bought this turnout sheet for my senior horse. It is a little large for him but better a little too big than too small (they run in 3 inch increments). The sheet is well made and will add an extra layer when needed either over his fleece or even over his turnout blanket. I think it's a great deal for the price and recommend it without reservation."

"I bought this for our very senior horse. With the dropping temperatures he was getting really chilly. Plus, with he was needing a little extra padding as he is getting a little bony. I bought the medium weight for now and this blanket has just the right amount of fluff. The quality is amazing for such a great price! I will definitely be ordering him the heavy weight version later in the season."
