"I was given advice to use this bit on my sensitive mouthed mare, she HATED it, it is very hard, bulky, and stiff. She chewed on it a lot and it doesn't hold up at all and the rubber gets a little sharp when it does get teeth marks in it. These bits also seem to run a little small which really is no big deal but it's still nice to know. I wouldn't recommend this bit to anyone. The only upside is that it is a pretty good price."

"I was having problems with my mare running through my hands. I tried going a little more harsh with no change. Since I do Dressage and Hunter/Jumpers, I always have contact on her mouth. I was uncomfortable having a lot of contact with a stronger bit. So I decided to give the 'less is more' a try. I started with a rubber bit, and then tried Happy Mouth. I couldn't be happier! She gives nicely and is more relaxed. I can have contact and not worry that I'm putting too much pressure on her mouth. A win/win for the 2 of us!"

"We have a young horse and started out with a plain snaffle but that seemed to be too harsh as she kept fighting the bit. Our trainer suggested we try the Happy Mouth and what a huge difference it made! No more head tossing and resisting the bit!! I would highly recommend this bit!!"

"I use this bit to start young horses. I even put my older horses back into it when I feel I need to give them a tune up or just a break from their regular bit. Easy on the mouth and helps the horse learn to readily accept the bit. I would use nothing else."
