"One of my Saddlebreds, a 15 year old gelding, was left very stiff after retiring from a 10 year showing career. After nearly two months on smartflex senior I am beginning to see some improvement. This is my first time using supplements and I am unsure how quickly/ how much this should improve his movement. Due to financial difficulties, I am just focusing on paying for board and must discontinue buying this product."

"Kenya is a recently retired school horse, he's mine now. He's 18 & was diagnosed with navicular issues in 2008.
About a year ago he was gifted Senior Flex pellets by a friend who's horse passed away. That's when I discovered there were 2 Kens; navicular Ken and Smartpak Ken. His gait is smoother, he feels better and loves that he can keep up with other horses.
I've known and ridden Kenya for 3 years and if I felt/saw no difference, the money would be saved for his special shoes. It takes a few weeks for the effects to kick in, I would definitely recommend trying this for a month or 2."

"I was looking for a supplement that combined all of the essential joint supplements that would assist my mare with her osteoarthritis. The SmartFlex Senior did it with the right quantity of each supplement per feeding. Of course this is a supplement that you need to use for a while to see results, but, I can see some benefits already and I've only been using it for about six weeks. "Love the balance of this product - joint supp with good things for oldies. Started this for a mare who, at 18, was having a lot of hock trouble. I felt a difference three days later, a major difference at 30 days, and now at three months she's the horse she was five years ago. Have put two other horses on it, and my 20 year old TB just won a jumper class this weekend, dragging me around the course like she hasn't done in ages. Just last week started an OTTB on it, even though she's only 8, because she's got race horse soreness in her joints. Gave it 4 for palatability because Belle won't eat it unless it's disguised, but the others eat it with no problems. Great product for a great price - thanks SmartPak!"

"I have used the SmartFlex products with my horses with success, so I decided to buy some for a lesson horse I ride regularly. He is a former show horse that has developed some arthritis in his old age. He would often come out stiff, and on the bad days, it might take 25 - 30 minutes for him to work out of it. I convinced my barn manager to let me buy him a bucket of the SmartFlex Senior to see if it would help at all. I can say within a week of being on this supplement, he felt like a different horse. He was much easier to warm up and keep going. He did not seem stiff at all. He was even less grumpy when being groomed and tacked. You can tell he feels young again, and he LOVES to jump. I really do believe SmartFlex Senior has played a part in helping him feel less stiff, and we can all tell he is much happier as a result. Definitely give this a try on any senior horse! It works wonders!"

"Purchased this for my TWH mare. She is 17 years old and has an unknown previous injury to her tendon in her rear fetlock joint. With lots of exercise and these supplements I have noticed an extreme difference in my mare. I had her on a different brand of joint support with little difference, but after I put her on this I noticed marked difference. She no longer pulls the tendon, I can go on long/difficult trail rides with no issues, and she will now defend herself in the pasture with her rear legs."

"There wasn't a dramatic difference but Fire didn't have a big problem. He does move more freely than he did before. I put him on this mostly as preventative for his age and because his back legs stock up when he's in the stall overnight.

"My daughter's retired hunter had been showing all the wear and tear of his 21 yrs this spring. I switched him to the SmartFlex Senior 6 weeks ago and I can already see a difference in his comfort level. His stiffness and reluctance to move around his paddock are greatly improved, and he's even back to bucking a little while he plays.
My farrier also commented on the difference while doing his most recent trim. In the past, Cordini was too stiff to lift his feet up to the farrier's knees, so my farrier would trim him with his hooves resting on the farriers feet (my back hurt just watching the farrier). In between feet, I'd have to walk him around to loosen him up. Now he stood happily while all four feet were trimmed. My farrier commented that it's like someone turned the clock back 5 years for my old guy. I'm very pleased with the results.
Now, it took some time before he would eat it completely. He's VERY picky, and initially wouldn't touch it. I kept adding it to his feed, and eventually he adjusted and ate it without fuss. But it took roughly 2 weeks before he would accept it without leaving some in the bucket.
SmartFlex Senior works so well that I'm glad I didn't give up in the first two weeks when he turned his nose up at it. Thanks Smartpak!"

"I just gave my vet the fresh supplement I just received. Maybe he has someone whose horse will eat it. My mare spits it all over the floor and leaves it in the bucket.
I tried applesauce, which did not work, and tried mixing with a sweet grain. No way, no how is what the old gray mare said."

"I put my 24 year old American Saddlebred Gelding on Smartflex Senior Pellets for convience for the barn staff and also peace of mind that he is getting the correct dose. Though he is retired Jeb is very much active! He still thinks he's still ready for Louisville so we let him! Why break a loyal friends heart?
I noticed how inflamed and stiff Jeb was after trail rides, turnout, standing, and ring work so I decided this product would be worth a try. I liked that it not only helped inflammation but joints and digestive care. A great value and very affordable. I've noticed a GREAT reduction in inflammation but not so much with him being stiff. I've changed him over to the Trisport in addition to Devils Claw Plus to get more joint support as well as digestive and inflammation.
I would still recommend Smartflex Senior to anyone but in Jebs case of being a retired 5 gaited horse I believe his hocks need a little more attention."

"My retired TB is around 25-27 and he has hock/stifle issues. They'll lock up or give him a lot of pain from time to time and he wont be able to move very well-even worse is when he's laying down and can't get up! My boarder was having me rush out at least 3 times a week to try and help him up because of his back legs locking on him. After starting him onto SmartFlex Senior, I've only had to be out there twice this last month to help him get up. He seems more comfortable since he's been on it. Even if I'm out of grain and just dump the smartflex by itself into his bucket, he'll eat it right up. Very happy with this supplement, will continue to keep him on it :)"

"Have a 31 year old quarter horse mare with HYPP and cushings. With living in Kentucky were the temps and weather change from hour to hour, was looking for a supplement to help her joints and energy levels. Wow. Did this ever work! Within 2 weeks the mare's attitude was that of a 2 year old, wanting to socialize and play. Her joints stopped making that popping sound and her posture and head placement came back up.
