"SmartCalm has really helped my 7 year old thoroughbred gelding. I've had him for about a year and a half and he's always been a bit tense and explosive. Not super hot or forward, but more irritated and behind my leg with a tendency to get grouchy and to have occasional explosions. With the SmartCalm he is actually more forward and relaxed and although he still spooks occasionally, it's a far less dramatic reaction. I tried this for a month, then ran out and about a week after I took him off, his bad attitude returned. Now I've had him back on it for about a month and we are getting along much better again. I highly recommend this product."

"I put my 2 Thoroughbred mares on this supplement over the winter because they had a lot more stall time than they were used to. I should have started it in the fall because there was a noticible difference. I will keep them on it because it seems to take the edge off of them!"

"I started feeding my OTTB gelding SmartCalm on a Saturday night, and by the following Wednesday morning there was a notable difference. Now that it has been 2 weeks, there is a huge difference.
Before SmartCalm, he would come out of his stall very excitable and hopping around after being in all night. Now he flat-foot walks in the morning, and I no longer use a chain over his nose. He is not as mouthy as he was (he used to be so annoying, like dealing with a teething child).
He is still quite alert and inquisitive, and by no means dull or lethargic. Still has plenty of pep and stamina when trail riding, maybe even more since he is no longer exhausting himself with stress and worry."

"I started on the calming pellets but not the ultra initially. I noticed a difference in a few days but now after switching to the ultra a month later I can't say its done much difference. For as expensive as it is I can say I'm not getting my money's worth in behavior change."

"SmartCalm has worked wonders on my Half Arab mare, Lucy. For a horse that has daily turnout for 6+ hours everyday with other horses since the day she was born and stabled where she can see and touch other horses, I couldn't understand the pacing, weaving, and general antsy behavior in pasture or standing in her pen with food in front of her. SmartCalm has really calmed her down. She is more focused during training and riding. Any time she was off of it she revert back to hot mess. I would recommend this product to a friend."

"I've use this product during the past three winters to help manage my thoroughbred's "winter sillys". He chills right out within 2 weeks of starting him on it. He is much less reactive and spooky, and more focused. I only put him on it for 3-4 months during the winter, as he is typically fairly chill during the rest of the year."

"I have been feeding this product for a couple of months now. At first I didn't think it was having much effect but the weather has been bad and I'm not riding as much as usual so it was difficult to tell. But last week I took my horse to my trainers barn for a lesson. It usually takes me 20 minutes or so to calm him down enough to get him to focus. This time he was much much better. Very little shying at things that were previously spooky to him. It hasn't been a magic bullet, he is still nervous when he sees the trailer being hooked up but I do think it's taken the "stupid" out of him. It is definitely worth a try."

"Very distracted: a cat walking across the yard, someone entering the arena. I had an incident where he bolted. Everytime he focused on something else, in his mind I just wasn't there. Fear started to settle in my mind because I knew I didn't have the control that I needed to be safe. I sent him to a trainer for 90 days because I thought, "he's responding to my fear." We took a break from each other and I rode another horse to regain my confidence. Still, when he came back every time he would get distracted, I became tense fearing he was going to do something. Someone suggested Magnisum. Two weeks after I started "Smart Calm" I noticed a much calmer horse that wasn't so zone-fixated. He is listening because he can focus and I am well on the way to trusting again. I will show him for the first time after eight years of ownership."

"My gelding does not handle stress well. He came from a large herd environment - and I uprooted him and moved him to a new barn. He was bounced around through different paddocks until he settled in with a small group of geldings that didn't harrass him. He had to be separated at feeding time due to the amount of feed he was getting and to make sure he got all his supplements. He would eat like a bird - take a bite, pick up his head, look around and end up dropping more than he was eating. I added the Smart Calm supplement when my vet diagnosed him with gastric ulcer symptoms. She said he internalized his stress instead of releasing it.. causing him pain. Since adding this supplement and the Smart Gut - I've seen a huge improvement.. not only is he gaining weight now, but he's calmer, not grinding his teeth.. and back to being his playful self that I fell in love with! Thank you Smart Pak!!

"I originally tried this supplement because of the B1 levels. B1, Vitamin E, and Magnesium are great for horses with Stringhalt. I was very happy with the results. Not only did it help calm my boy mentally but it did help alleviate his string halt symptoms!"

"I have used this product successfully more than once. A while ago I used Smart Calm on a nervous horse that a student was riding during the spring. And I am currently using it on a new horse that is green broke and spooking at everything. Smart Calm takes the edge off without taking away the horse's energy, so that training can continue in a safe, controlled enviornment. I have had no problems taking the horse off SmartCalm after the skills/training have reached a minimum level for safe control."

"I tried these for 1 month and I didn't notice a difference in my horse. It could be because the feed he is currently on already has an adequate supply of magnesium. I thought extra might calm him, but it didn't. If your horse is deficient in magnesium then maybe these will do the trick. They were very palatable though, he is picky and I gave him a handful of these alone once and he ate it like I was giving him a treat."
