"very warm. it does seem to run small, I bought one for my daughter and had to return it since it was way too tight. I wish the opening was a touch larger. Makes me feel a touch clausterphobic (spelling?)."

"Love anything mountain horse but this fit was too awkward and I had to return. The nose piece is off which seems to be a complaint that is common. Still orderred but should've listened. If they redesign, I'll be sure to order multiples as I work outside in the barn all day, every day!"

"I found the product to be exactly as reviewed. It looked and sounded like a great idea at a reasonable price, but it didn't fit well and didn't meet my expectations. The opening for the eyes doesn't fit right if the nose portion is positioned appropriately. It's definitely impossible to wear with glasses. Also, it leaves the back of the neck completely bare!"

"Excellent for hacking outdoors in the coldest of weather! Keeps your face from chapping - breathing unhindered by mesh!"
"This sounded good, and the idea is terrific but it falls short and is not usable. If worn as designed with your nose in the slot the seam rubs your eyeballs. If you scoot it down below your nose it is uncomfortable, not to mention that this defeats much of the purpose. I also found it would be too short in the back, leaving drafts down my neck if the face portion had been useful. Really a nice concept, and had it fit/worked it would be a sound investment. But it falls quite short of being able to be used. Save your effort as you'll end up returning it."

"I would not recommend this product. This is the second (and will be the last) Mountain Horse product I've purchased and been unsatisfied with. The balaclava is too small and the material is uncomfortable and doesn't stay in place when I try to wear it around. You're better off buying one at a store where you can try it on. There's no way to tighten the area around the eyes and nose so you're constantly struggling to keep it in place. I would return this one except I had already taken the tags off."

"This winter our temps have been frigid and windy. My usual arsenal of winter horse clothes were simply not cutting it. I bought this to keep my face warm and make breathing easier. And it keeps me warm!!! Thin under the helmet. Covers the face. Easy to breathe, but also warms the air so breathing is not painful. had read one review that found it too short on the neck. I ordered it anyway thinking I could always sew a neck warmer on it. HOWEVER...it is PLENTY long enough on the neck (and I have a long neck) and offers good protection. How did I live so long without it?!"

"The idea is super, but from the picture i expected this to be long enough it would cover my neck and tuck into a shirt. It does go below my chin, but unless i was wearing a turtle neck and had it totally unfolded my neck is going to be exposed. The face part seemed comfortable and would probably be effective. I am returning it."
