"The fit is excellent. I have a horse with big shoulders and there is ample room. This blanket has the metal clips attached around the neck for a hood. I ended up sending it back because of this; it just isn't cold enough where I live to warrant a hood on a stable blanket."

"True to Rambo quality and fit. Nice weight and great for layering. Nice looking blanket, my horse has gotten a lot of compliments on the Charcoal stripe combo
The only thing I was a little let down by was the tail cord, just the rope tied on. Even the Amigo stable blankets that are way cheaper have a clip on the one side. Not a deal breaker, just thought for the price it might have something nicer."

"I think these rugs do fit well and wear up great but you can find nicer and tougher rugs cheaper than this. I actually have used Rambo on and off for years and I'm not that in love with their range anymore. I also wish this come in nicer color combo's..its a woman thing I guess but I can't stand to look at the stripes. I gave mine away BUT it did last and held up under rolling and wear but I wouldn't pay that for one again."

"I got this blanket in an 84 for my 18hh Hanoverian with very large shoulders and have been so pleased with the fit--no rubs and despite the lofty warmth it is so light in weight that it is very comfy for my gelding with no pressure on his high wither. We haven't washed it yet--it's due now--but the fabric has definitely held up well so far and the beautiful gold stripe looks great and is easy to distinguish from all of the other blankets on the racks. The thin tied tail cord is kind of a pain, so we just removed it--but now the back sides tend to flip up when my gelding lays down and he has tell-tale manure stains on his fuzzy haunches despite being blanketed. I would prefer an elasticized clip strap, but that's my only complaint."

"I was skeptical when I bought this blanket at first. Not having back leg straps seemed like a potential problem for my horse who enjoys rolling around in the sand. I have been proven wrong, however. It has been perfectly in place each time I come out. The quality seems excellent. The blanket is very warm, despite feeling like a light-weight blanket. The gold/red color combo looks very flashy as well. Im considering buying another for my other horse. I only wish I could find the matching hood now!"

"I had my blanket only a few days when we were hit with some cold weather. This blanket fits great and I had no slipping problems what so ever. Kept my horse warm and I couldn't be more pleased. I also had his name put on the side and it looks great. Will not hesitate to buy more Rambo blankets in the future"

"After managing for years with ill-fitting, inferior blankets (purchased elsewhere), my daughter did extensive research and wrote down the Rambo Newmarket Stable Blanket as the only item on her Christmas List. Believe me, Santa was skeptical that any horse blanket could be worthy of all the rave reviews found for it here at SmartPak. Boy, was Santa wrong! This blanket is gorgeous, warm and fits my daughter's horse perfectly. The sizing instructions couldn't have been more accurate. We live in Maine where winters are long, cold and snowy. The Rambo Newmarket Stable Blanket (Santa delivered the gold color) keeps the weather at bay and looks great doing it. The quality is exceptionally high. Service and delivery were swift and accurate and even though Santa only got around to ordering on 12/20, SmartPak delivered in time for the box to go under the tree. We're delighted with it, and you will be, too."

"Although my reasoning for buying this blanket was so that I would always be able to tell which blanket is mine, I must admit the real reason is that I think the Newmarket pattern is so snazzy! I have the Rambo Quarter Sheet in the gold Newmarket pattern, and I love how it looks on my black mare. I stick to Rambo blankets for my horses because they last forever and fit great, without the hassle of leg straps. My only complaint was that all the horses at my barn have Rambo blankets, so it's hard to pick out mine. That's no longer a problem now that my mare is outfitted in her Newmarket stripe! Now to find a reason why I need to replace my mare's sheet with the Newmarket sheet..."
