"I have used the longer hanging strip style fly glue catchers but I was afraid my horse would get them stuck on his head like a turban. I got this one and can hang it just out of reach and I only pull it down about 5 inches. I plan to cut that off when full and pull more down. So far the flies are not bad so none have been caught but I know they should work well."

"I have been using these each summer for 3 years now. It is so much better then stringing up a whole bunch of little strips (no matter where I put them I always get them stuck in my hair or the horses'.) I attach it to the ceiling in their stall and it is all the strip that I need. My stalls are open in between, so I start in one and staple it in a couple spots along the ceiling and finish in the other stall. It collects a lot of flies."
