Ariat's Cobalt Quantum Technology brings the rider to the next level. The Devon Pro zippered paddock boot features premium full-grain leather uppers, X-Static? lining to regulate foot temperature and a stabilization lateral motion control in a traditionally styled paddock boot. "I had a similar pair, and I have been searching for a paddock boot with good arch support. I have high arches and many boots do not provide support and comfort. I did not rate the durability because I have only wore them for one ride. Yes, in the boots today for 8 hours and have happy feet. Value would be 5 since I purchased them on sale."

"If you buy zip up boots prepare to spend a good month breaking them in. After that you'll find you don't want to take them off. The zipper stays up, the comfort is unbelievable and the quality is great! I definitely recommend these!"

"I have a pair of size 7 boots the Quantums evolved from and love them. I have worn them for years and they are still holding up. When I saw these boots on sale, I jumped at the chance to get another pair at the best price I have seen. Regular price has gotten too high for me. I ordered the 7 but it is just a bit too tight through toe box even though the sole is the same length, they are a tad narrower and maybe the foot bed takes up too much of the room. Other Ariat boots I have tried on in 7 do fit. Unfortunately they had no 7 1/2 in stock or I would have done an exchange. I cannot vouch for the durability but can only hope they are made as well as my old Devon Pro boots."

"I have been buying these boots for years...Wearing them for most of my rides....I get about 2 years per pair....I will continue to buy....my only complaint on the recent pair i bought was the quality of the brown leather....i did not like the finish....prefer the old oil finish of my last pair....maybe ariat is saving money with this leather finish?...Hope they go back to the old leather...."

"Let me just say I have freakishly small feet. I'm 5'4" and a size 5 1/2 with a really skinny foot and small ankle. These boots fit amazingly well and I dont have to wear thick chunky socks to not have my foot swimming in a too big boot. I feel secure and the cushioned footbed is very comfortable. Ive had mine almost two years and they clean up nicely and have broken in wonderfully."

"I usually love Ariat boots but these seem to be of a lesser quality than the last few pairs I've had (and even those usually only last me a year at a time as I'm pretty hard on them). The foot bed still seems nice but the leather seems cheaper; more plastic like and not nearly as supple/soft as my old pair were."

"These boots were so tight the first time I tried them on, I would have returned them immediately if it wasn't for all the other reviewers saying to give them time to break in. But the end of my first ride, they were fitting much better and by the end of my first week they were super comfortable. And all the while I never got a rub or blister. Now I don't have any complaints. They look great. The leather is high quality and cleans easy. I've only had them for 3 months so I can't comment on durability, but I will say they still look brand new (any scuffs have buffed out without a problem with a little saddle soap). They are as comfortable to ride in as to do chours around the barn in."

"Like other reviews- I also almost returned these but have always loved my Arita boots so.... The leather was much heavier and stiffer which prevented any flexibility in the ankle and rubbed my leg at the top part of the boot. I oiled them and wore them everywhere and they broke in over about a month- now they are soft and well broken in, love them! Lots of support in the foot too!"

"The first few times I wore these boots I almost sent them back, no blisters, but just felt tight and inflexible through the ankle and sole. I toughed it out, hoping it was all of the extra padding compared to the Heritage (which I had bought as my last pair and wore for almost 3 yrs of constant use until they fell apart) and that they would get better. After hacking in them and wearing them around my house for a few weeks I'm really happy with them. The footbed is very comfortable, they keep my feet totally dry hosing off my horse, and now that the ankle has broken in I'm really liking the extra support. So if you try them on and think "yikes I'll never be able to get my heels down" don't worry, they really do break in. I didn't rate durability because I have only had them for a month, but the leather seems much higher quality than my old Heritage's so I'm hoping they hold up just as long or longer."

"I had had about six pairs of Ariat paddock boots. They fit well, are comfortable from day one, are reliable and durable, my zippers have never had a problem and they continue to update their styling and technology.
This pair feels lighter with possibly thinnner leather and slimmer than my previous pair of Ariats...even though it is the same "model". As a result, my only worry is that they may not last as long, since what always does my boots in, eventually, are the regular baths they get when I wash my horse. The leather eventually cracks, even when I use the ariat conditioner.
Nevertheless, they are the only paddock boots I'll buy as I have always been very pleased."

"I got these boots as a gift for my birthday because my old Ariats had holes and broken zippers. These are boots that are made with comfort in mind. They have padding in the heel the runs up along the sides of the ankle which makes for a nice, no-slip boot. It does, however, make tight half chaps harder to zip/button at the bottom. They are a little bit wider in the footbed than the Heritage (my Ariat boot of choice). They are also heavier (due to the padding and insoles than something like the heritage. They seem to be made of a much thicker leather so they may take longer to wear holes through! The leather is also much more supple than some of the lower priced Ariats. If you're looking for comfort and longevity, these are great!"
