My 25 yr. old gelding has been suffering from diarrhea for 4-5 years, especially during the winter. 2 weeks of Biosponge helped combined with the Proviable-EQ but we still had issues. One vet thinks it could be something he eats in the pasture when it's winter and that the cycle needs to be broken. Another vet put him on Prednisone...saying he's got Irritable Bowel Syndrome just like people. I've continued the Prednisone and Proviable-EQ and his manure is finally clearing up. We went from projectile squirting gas to fairly firm horse apples. I'm looking forward to slowly removing him from the Prednisone and see if he's OK. It's been a battle trying to determine what causes this. I firmly believe the addition of Proviable EQ is a positive step as his attitude has improved, too. Simply stated, he looks happier and healthier....Lord knows we're both tired of washing his backside, dodging the poots, and grateful that it's been a mild winter!

My mare, although manure was firm, still passed a bit of liquid stool resulting in a messy back end that had to be cleaned daily. Used this product and in less than a week - no more runny stool and a clean back end!!!

It has been more than 8 weeks using this product and so far I couldn't be more pleased. I have a horse that has "struggled" with loose stool and the resulting "yuck" all down her backside for two years. Ive tried everything I could afford to help her with minimal improvement. She's even on a "restricted free choice" feeding program, all grass hay, no "grain", etc. but still always had a messy rear end with very sloppy manure. Then there was Proviable-EQ. Even on a less-than-full dose I have seen a MAJOR improvement! She no longer has dribble down her back end, and although her manure isn't perfect it is markedly more firm with more "apples". Her attitude is improved, and I couldn't be happier. I will continue to use this product!!

My 26 year old gelding developed loose stool last summer. His back legs and hind end were a mess, and I tried three different probiotics. He had never had any issues like this before.
We, (vet and I) tried everything we could think of, nothing helped. A mare came to our barn with chronic issues, and she was put on Proviable-EQ. Within days, her chronic condition was almost gone. I ordered some for my gelding, and he was clear within a week. This was after having a problem daily for over a year!
I am thrilled and will continue to purchase this product. The only negative is, that the minute it is not given daily, the problem comes right back. So, it will have to be a maintenance dose and not discontinued.

We have a warmblood who gets the runs every spring/summer from the rich grass. Over the last several years I have tried many brands of probiotics, as well as yogurt and other natural remedies. This is the ONLY supplement that has helped at all, and it has worked wonders. He is much more comfortable and his tail is staying clean.

I want my supplement dollars to do the maximum good for my horse, and adding a probiotic has always been important when I feed him. Proviable-EQ is made by the Cosequin people, and that made me sit up and take notice. I've fed it since SmartPak added it to their offerings, and I'm very happy with my horse's overall health and well-being. He looks and feels great.

As the last step before moving to ulcer diagnosis and possible treatement, we tried Proviable EQ and what a difference! A previously somewhat grouchy (at meals) gelding has turned into an eating machine and is much happier. His stools are consistent and don't have an off odor anymore either. It did take him a while to take to the taste, but the powder mixes well with soaked alfalfa cubes.

I have a 26 year old retired police horse which had diarrhea for four weeks. Nothing was working and I had two different vets examine him with no result as to why this was happening. I was worried that I was going to lose him when I was told by my local vet to try the Proviable-EQ. After two days of use we noticed a change. A week later he is almost back to normal. I plan to keep him on the Proviable-EQ and I highly recommend this product for gut balance in any horse. It helped my Moonshine.

My mare had a bought of colitis over a course of 4 days after an ordeal necessitating the use of 90 pills daily of oral antibiotic to clear up an eye infection risk. She did not eat or drink for 4 days, had a terribly low white count, and had a fever of 102.9 and climbing. We almost had to take her to the university to get fluids and radical help for her GI tract which wuld have cost us about $3,000 or more. Our vet gave us the Proviable, instructing us to give her 2-3 scoops a day (normal for her size would be one). Within 24 hours she was eating with zeal, drinking again, and her fever had gone down to normal. I'm so thankful for this supplement, and I feel that she had a real possibility of dying if not for the Proviable. The supplement smells great (like alfalfa) but my mare doesn't like powder. If I mixed it with rice bran or crushed cookie "dust" she would gobble it down.

This supplement has a probiotic that my vet recommended. This is the only product I have seen that supplies this particular type of probiotic (which I can't spell) .

My horse is fussy about supplements, but I want him to have a probiotic in his feed because I want him to receive all the benefits from the other supplements and the feed I give him. Proviable-EQ is by the folks who make Cosequin, and it seems to be working very well.
