Wilker's Cling-On Fleece Saddle Pad

The?Wilker's Cling-On Fleece Saddle Pad is an updated?design featuring four unique grip patches: two located on the underside of the pad, on either side of the withers, and two on the top side of the pad. The location of the grip patches ensures that the saddle and pad stay secure. The grip patches make conventional billet straps unnecessary. Made in the USA.

"I have a 16 1/2 CWD and have had problems finding a saddle pad that fits. I also don't like a thick fleece pad as it feels bulky under this saddle. I bought the large size pad - 17 to 171/2 and it fits perfectly, but couldn't be a fraction smaller or it wouldn't have the George Morris 1" showing :) I rode in it once just to test it. It didn't feel bulky, looks good and stayed in place. I'm just using it for the shows but will likely buy another."

"I have mixed feelings about this pad because it does look great, and it does not slip. However, it is a pain and a half to get on my horse correctly because of the non slip parts. Maybe it's because I'm not the tallest in the world, and my horse is 16.3hh, but it's a pain. At one show, I did not realize that I had it slightly crooked, and in the middle of a flat class instead of just being able to quickly adjust everything like a normal pad, I could not and I had to adjust riding a tad crooked. Yes, it is my fault for not realizing in warm up, but at the same time I am an advanced rider, and have never had this issue with a pad before. Positively though, it did look great! Maybe I am just old school and would rather stick with the pads that have the straps and no sticky stuff underneath. You decide what you like!"

"Nice clean look and simple design. Doesn't slip under the saddle. Starts to look worn out after its been washed a few times. Need to buy a new one after about 5 shows."

"These pads are wonderful, no straps to deal with and they absolutely don't slip, plus a reasonable price. I have one that's many years old and it's just starting to show some wear on the underside, top still looks great! I would not buy or recommend any other pad."

"These pads are great, especially when showing more than one horse. It's easy to swap to a fresh pad without straps to worry about. We've used them for a couple of years on different horses and they never slip."

"I've had another version of this pad for a few years and really liked it. I did not have any fit problems with the pad. My new one does have a straighter spine, which isn't ideal, but at this price it is a great pad. The fact that my last one made it through three seasons of local shows is a testament to its durability. It got washed a lot so it has grayed a little but the fleece itself is in good shape. I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for an economical pad that lasts!"

"I loved the look and 'stay put' idea of this pad. However it is only available in close contact and I needed an all purpose. It wasn't clearly stated in the product description that the pad was close contact. I was able to return it with no problems, though."

"For the price, this is the best choice, but I still wish it fit a little more neatly. The straight fit across the top makes it bunch up under the saddle a little bit. A major plus, though, is that the material is identical to that of $50+ saddle pads. (Many under-$40 saddle pads are made of an inexpensive fleecy material which looks cheap to begin with and pills horribly after one ride; this one has held up as well as its more expensive cousins through a couple of shows so far.) Overall, I would recommend for showing or general riding, but beware of any fit issues!"
