M. Toulouse Annice Close Contact Saddle
The M. Toulouse Annice is a well crafted and extremely comfortable saddle. Perfect for use in the Hunters or Equitation. The medium deep seat with narrow twist offers security, yet keeps close contact with the horse. Double leather flaps and knee rolls provide a grippier feeling and is more pliable to the touch. Adjusta-Block knee and thigh blocks. Comfort Fit (foam lined with wool) panels. Hand laminated beechwood and steel reinforced tree with 10 year guarantee.

I have been riding in this saddle for almost half a year. Originally I planned on buying a higher quality used saddle, but after searching for a year with no luck finding something with in the price range of the average high school student, I decided to give the M. Toulouse saddles a shot. When I started riding in this saddle, I instantly received compliments on how much better my position looked (both on the flat and over jumps). I had no idea how much a saddle could improve my position, and this saddle does a superb job of supporting my leg. The medium tree fits both of my horses well, one is 14.3hh, the other is a 16.2hh warmblood.
When compared to other new saddles in the same price range, in my opinion this is by far the nicest saddle around. It is very pretty looking, comfortable to sit in and I love the adjustable blocks. There are a few things I don't like as well. The billets look and feel cheaply made and are very stiff at first. However, after some time and elbow grease, they do soften. The leather is also very delicate, so it scratches easily. Any marks have come out with cleaning, and I have tried to prevent scratches at all costs. I'm not a huge fan of the strip of extra leather at the bottom of the flap, but don't mind putting up with it since everything else about the saddle has been great!

I purchased this saddle over a year ago and have been very happy with it. It has held up very well and fits a variety of horses. I wish I would have gotten the long flap but that is personal preference. The leather is soft and that makes it easy to break in. The seat is balanced and secure. Very pleased.

First off I want to thank the SMARTPAK customer service, they are GREAT! I have recently got a wonderful OTTB and the saddle I received as a gift was making him soar. I had tried several saddles and none fit him correctly. I had called a saddle fitter to come out and she recommended several really high end saddles (way, way out of my $$$) So after returning the last saddle, back to Smartpak, I asked the CS rep what type of saddle she would recommend -- and this was it! My saddled fitter was so impressed how well it fit him (like a glove, like it was made for him...she kept repeating) and it is sooo comfortable, like riding a cloud. The leather is supple the seat is comfy and love the adjustable knee rolls. The best part is Blue isn't soar. Thanks again Smartpak!

In the past month I've been on the forever frustrating search for a saddle. I've sat in butet's, colligettes, bates, stubbens, and countless others. Although I have yet to declare my search over, for the price, this saddle is decently balanced. It doesnt discourage me from a correct position and it still allows freedom. The leather is very soft and does scratch easy. Overall, for the money, this is a good saddle. But it is no luc chieldric, for the money, its a good saddle but is it the best you could find? maybe not.

This saddle put my leg right underneath me to produce a better wrap around the horse. The quality and stitching was not what I was wanting. Overall it is a comfortable saddle.
