I wear Ariat boots for my dress riding boot, my winter riding boot, and my paddock boots. This is my second pair of Ariat paddock boots. The first pair lasted 20 years until a puppy ate them. This is my replacement pair of the same boot. This version is slightly narrower than my old paddock boot which means it is narrow as I normally wear a AA width. I miss the leather liner and insole in the older version. The new one has a cloth liner which I find less form fitting, and less comfortable than the old version. The dot shaped speed laces do not hold the laces as well as the old bar shaped speed laces. One came untied while I was walking last week. Those minor complaints aside, they are great boots, good quality leather and good fit.

I love these boots, took a few days to break in but now they are very supple. Ankle padding is very supportive, leather is great quality and holding up well. (Only have had 1 month - but I've had multiple pairs in the past and never had any complaints).
Yes they are a bit pricey, but I've had a pair of Heritage boots and they didn't last, after 6 months the leather started peeling away from the boot and I was disappointed. I'd much rather pay for the quality that you get with this boot. I love that I can walk around in these boots all day. Love the cobalt technology - very happy with this purchase!

Ever since Ariat introduced its Cobalt line, I have refused to wear any other paddock boots. With each generation they get more comfortable, and these are just wonderful. I have previously bought the zippered versions, but with the Quantums I found that the laces fit better- not a problem to me though.
I am now on my second pair, as I wore my first pair so much that the stitch at the toe cap started to wear. I still have that pair though, since they are still usable and comfortable. The laces do not last forever, but are easy to replace. These boots break in after a few rides, and once broken in are the most comfortable boots ever. They work wonderfully for minimizing foot, knee and back pain when I am standing on hard surfaces for long periods of time.
Wish I could wear them everywhere!

These boots are EXTREMELY comfortable both in the saddle and on the ground. I have had my boots for 3 years, and I wear them just about every day. I have even worn them with dress pants for nicer functions. They took some time to break in, but it was worth it because they molded to my foot perfectly. After 3 years you can tell they are worn constantly due to scuffs on the toes, but those are mainly due to getting my foot caught on rough surfaces. I did have to replace the laces recently as they finally wore out. It didn't help that my cats sped up that process a bit though. Trust me, push past the break in time and you will absolutely love these boots!

I have always worn Ariat riding boots. I can count on them fitting the same and they are comfortable and wear a long time. This pair I just purchased are a little stiff around the ankle, but with some wear I am sure they will soften.

This was my 6th pair of Ariats. The disappointing quality of these boots versus the excellent quality of the Colbalts that I have purchased in the past was discouraging. The sole appeared to be only glued on (and a poor job of gluing at best, there was a mess of glue 1/2" above the sole.) The fit was bizarre. One boot was much narrower than the other and they were both more narrow than Ariats I have had in the past (B width). The leather appeared cheap and the speed lacers were the metal type that bend and break rather than the more sturdy plastic type. Final verdict: I returned them and found a pair of the previous type at a local tack shop.

This is absolutely a beautiful boot, very well made, and comfortable in all areas except one. Its not a boot for the high arched or high instep rider. I generally order laced boots for this purpose and unfortunately this line of Ariat just doesn't have the room where the laces stop. I'd have them stretched but I've worn other Ariats that fit like a glove and thus am preferring to return.
