Perfect Prep EQ Gold Paste
Perfect Prep EQ Gold Paste uses natural ingredients in a proprietary blend to create sustained relaxation and focus in horses during stressful conditions. Perfect Prep EQ Gold acts gradually. Its effects peak 8 hours after first administration, and last up to 12 hours. Gold can be used repeatedly for indefinite periods, as horses respond without building tolerance, and its effects maintain or increase with continued use. Horses may remain focused and tractable for days after last adiministration. Contains Magnesium, Thiamine (Vitamin B1), Inositol, Taurine and Amino ProPanoic Acid. 60?cc syringe.

"I give it the night before a show or other important ride, like a clinic, and my mare is still herself the next day- a bold, forward jumper who can be fussy with her head/mouth at times- but she also has the capability to relax and stretch into the bridle, accept my leg, etc. when we're warming up after I've given it to her. Even in a distracting environment, or at overnight shows with no turnout. Not sure if it really does have a cumulative effect, or if she just starts to settle & listen better by the 2nd or third day of a show, but that's what happens. I thought it worked better than the couple times I tried the 90 minute version. Plus, this one is tryptophan free and is easier to administer (not as thick, seems to be more patatable)."

"I have used this perfect prep products on other horses in the past, but have never seen the same results as noticed with other products. My mare did not like the taste of this product AT ALL! The smell was horrible, like a body builders protein shake, can't say I blame the mare."

"I recommend this to anyone who wants a golden attitude at a horse show! I found it works best if I give a whole tube 12 hours before followed by a half a tube the morning of the event. Although, it smells and taste nasty, mixing it with water in your horses favorite feed is the best way to administer this product. Also, I used this product last week and they have came out with a more patable product, which now smells great! I love perfect prep and won't leave to a show without it!"

"Unfortunately the product smells and must taste terrible. It took three people to attempt to administer this paste. It is also very thick and difficult to squirt into the horse's mouth. If you do attempt to use it, let it soak in warm water for a few minutes before administering it.
I can't say if it worked, because most of it ended up on the floor of the stall."

"I bought this to use on my horse that gets extremely tense and nervous at shows. I gave him Perfect Prep Gold the night before and the Perfect Prep EQ Extreme 90 minutes before the class. He still was exptrememly nervous, piaffing and passaging in warm-up (one of his reactions to nerves), and also trying to during his dressage test. However, I gave him another dose of each the next day and he was fantastic in the warm-up. He still got very tense in the latter half of the test, but progress is being made! On the third day (another dose of each) he was even better. It seemed to have a cumulative effect. Don't wear light colors when giving it in case some drips out as it is dark greenish black."
