Carefully crafted to our own specifications and available exclusively at SmartPak.The Wellfleet Hunter Girth is anatomically designed for the comfort of the horse. The girth is wider at the middle portion to distribute pressure and narrower behind the elbows to allow for freedom of movement. Triple ply elastic at both ends. Stunning off white fancy stitching at both ends of the girth.

"When ever possible I like to purchase equipment that can be used for both schooling AND in the show ring. So I don't mind spending a little more for something of quality. But in this case, the girth was not expensive, it is really nice looking and will work for both schooling and in the A ring. The trainer said she is going to have several of her riders purchase this for that same reason."

"I am picky when it comes to tack and this girth didn't disappoint! Nice weight to it, great quality leather, and beautiful stitching. Only surprise was that this runs very large- a full 2" over what I ordered, before it stretches. You may consider ordering down a size or two for best fit."

"Well, what a huge disappointment; I got this girth, absolutely loved it but had to send it back for a 44 as it didn't fit my OTTB. I then got a call saying it didn't come in a 44". Too bad, so sad.
What I liked about it is it was soft, and the elastic is also dark brown to match my saddle. Reasonable price as well."

"Needed a new girth for my horse and picked this one as I loved the brown elastic and the stitching detail. This girth is clearly made of quality materials, and is very soft and supple. Oiled it to match the rest of my tack and it looks beautiful. The best part is that my horse's girth rubs are now gone and there are no new ones in their place! Very happy with this product and I'm now considering the Wellfleet standing martingale."

"I've been looking for an affordable overlay girth with double-sided brown elastic for quite some time with little luck. I purchased another, that while it met the minimum requirements, was not nice enough for me to keep and had settled on the fact that I was going to have to pay $250+ to get what I wanted. Then I saw the Wellfleet Hunter Girth and decided to give it a shot.
Not only does it meet the list of requirements, it has exceeded my expectations. It is beautiful, soft, supple and fits true to size. This girth can go from schooling ring to show ring with no problem. While it is wider than I am used to with a leather girth, it does not seem any wider than the fleece girths I have used in the past. If I had to pick one thing I don't like, it's that the elastic seems a little stiff. I am hoping it will relax after some regular use.
I gave it a 4 on durability because it is still very knew and I can't really comment on the durability. I am hoping it lasts for quite some time."

"My first impression is the girth is made from quality materials and the manufacturer paid attention to details. There are rollers on the buckles, the stitching is even and tight, the leather seems to be quality. It had that nice "fog" to it that good, new, leather has; gentle rubbing with a soft cloth worked that in. It fits true to size. It was a little less thick than I'd expected, so I'm interested to see how it holds up with steady use."

"This girth is wonderful! I had reccently trashed my nice beval show girth when my fuzzy schooling girth was in the dryer and I had a lesson in which it started to down pour in. It was covered in mudd and has water stains all over. Not going to use that for a show ever again...
So I found this girth. And it is even better than my $400 beval girth. Well padded, and beautiful! the other ladies at the barn went crazy over it and now everyone wants one. I've used it for both shows and rainy schooling and it has held up incredibly well, you would never guess I use it almost daily for schooling as my horse prefers it to his other girth!"

"Right out of the package the girth was so supple, soft, and the padding is truly amazing. The pictures really do not do this girth justice! after one oiling it darkened to a beautiful chocolate color that matched my saddle perfectly. The stitching and brown elastic add a nice touch and this makes a perfect hunter girth for the A ring. This was definitely a great buy and I would have easily paid twice the amount for this girth."
