Myler Level 2 Dee

The Myler Bitting System is a graduated system, meaning that as your horse learns and progresses through his training, you will change the way you communicate with him by re-bitting him periodically. Each Myler Bit is designed to use select pressure points for the best communication for that Level.

"After trying every type of snaffle (D ring and full cheek corkscrews, slow twists, twisted wire, etc.) and a waterford on my OTTB, who is a saint on the flat but gets heavy on the forehand jumping, I knew i needed to try something different. After riding on the flat for a few days first working on transitions, getting her used to this new bit, I was very happy to find her more responsive over fences without the usual tug-of-war to control her that we had been encountering over the past few months. It's the perfect bit for this horse. Took her to a show this past weekend and used it, and it was just what we needed for the over-fences classes. It was almost too much for the flat classes, however (lifting her head on downward transitions, though that might be just her nerves - she's very green still, and it was her first show in this very scary arena.)"

"I bought this bit for my new dressage horse since it is now legal to use in dressage shows. My Danish Warmblood gelding was very heavy in the bridle, sticking his tongue out a lot, and dragging me around the ring. After getting this bit, he is more respectful of my restraining aids and I feel like I have control of him. He sticks his tongue out much less in this bit and is happy overall. This bit has made my riding much more enjoyable. I love it!"

"I have been using the level 1 2-ring combo bit and moved into the level 2. Tried it on my 17yr old TB last night and was very impressed. Complete different response from a jointed snaffle. He was soft in my hands, not bracey, eager to work and bend, was soft in the poll and in his body. I have decided to sell all my other bits and exclusively use Myler for my horses. I have a few other Mylers and although pricey - I have never been disappointed and more importantly - my horses just plain respond better and are calmer. And now that USDF has approved their use - why not!"

"Love this bit, helps especially for my horse who likes to drop his shoulder on turns. He really listens in it and is soft and responsive. Love this bit- hesistant to buy because of the price, but well worth the money, so glad I bought it."

"I found with both my horses that the cheaper Kimberwick bits with wither a snaffle mouth or a tiny port work better."

"I upgraded to this bit from the Myler Level One. I wanted to try this bit because of the tongue relief. I also ordered it in 5 1/2". It took my horse about a week to adapt and it works well. My only gripe is that the Myler bits are pricey."

"There are many different bits to choose from when transitioning a horse to different levels.
Myler has the best selection I have seen and the best information to make the correct selection.
A bit of knowledge goes a long way.

"My aqua gelding has become more responsive in this bit. He resisted the other bits I have tried. With this one he seems to be quieter, more round, uses his hind quarters more, and overall enjoys his job more. I was a little reluctant to pay so much for a bit but now that I have seen the difference in him I am so glad that I made this purchase .thank you,Smart Pak , for offering it at a better price than anyone else."

"I have been using this bit on my OTTB for over a year and he really seems happy in this bit! He seems to like the tongue relief that this bit offers. There is rarely any leaning and he softens quite nicely in it. I have been very happy with every Myler bit I have used. If you have a sensitive mouth and the regular snaffles don't seem to give you a desired response the Mylers may be a great bit to try. As a bonus, many places offer a rental program on these bits so you can try them to see if they are for you before you buy :)"

"I found my mare to be stiff and resistant with this bit. It fit well and ran true to size. However she braced against it when used."
