"Not leather uppers, felt cheap. Tops rubbed. not comfortable feeling. Smartpack was great about taking them back, however, h aven't seen the refund yet."

"I bought my first pair at the WEG. I fell in love with the Duburry's until I saw the price but lo and behold the next aisle over were these delightful ladies from Missouri with these fabulous looking boots. I tried a pair on, usually have to get extra wide calves but only had to get wide. The sizing is UK sizes so I wear a 4 (7.5 in US size). I waterproofed these boots and used them for everything from cleaning stalls to riding to slopping around in the mud. I just LOVE them......so much that I now own a 2nd and 3rd pair! One I just use for nastiness and goop, the 2nd pair I ride in and have shown in them too. The 3rd pair have never seen the barn lot at all. They are great for wearing out with tights, jeans, anything you can tuck in these boots, they look stylish and expensive. Highly recommend these boots no matter what you do with them. I have never had any problems with the stitching or water leaking into them after applying several coats of waterproofing. GO GET A PAIR....or 2! Yes, they are tall but will slouch down to fit right up under your knees. GREAT BOOTS!!!!!"

"No kidding. I bought these boots on sale last year, and they're a terrific value, especially for the sale price. I'm 5'5" with wide calves and mine fit fine. They were a little tall at first but have collapsed nicely to just the right height.
Important note: I have NOT ridden in these boots or worn them to the barn because they're just too handsome and I dread the ankle-deep mud out there ... However, I wore these boots just about everywhere else last winter in the pouring rain, sleet, snow, you name it and they've been terrific. I was so happy this year when October came and I could get them back out!
All in all, they've held up so well and are such a good value that I'm madly trying to justify buying another pair and turning pair #1 into riding boots.
I will tell you they're rather heavy, because they're quite substantial. Also, a couple of stitches came loose on one outsole but it doesn't seem to have caused any problems.
Anyway, I put some sheepskin insoles in them and am happy all winter. I can even tuck straight-leg jeans into them and feel like I'm a "not-so-fuller filly" for a change. Happiness!"

"These boots are wide enough for the widest calfs (I"m a 18 inch and I can wear them with my jeans and still have room). I haven't worn them for long periods as they are to warm for summer in New England, but look forward to trying them out in the fall. Foot runs a little large and I believe are based on men's sizes (I wear a 9 womens, but there was a 7 marked in boot). For the $67 I got them for on clearance, I'm happy. If I paid full price, I would not be."

"I was so excited when these boots came up on clearance. Imagine my grief when they arrived and I found that the shaft was simply too tall for my leg. I did my best to will them shorter, but the next day they were still too tall. Sadly, I had to return the boots, but definitely not due to the quality. I gave the "value" only three stars, because I wouldn't be able to purchase these at the regular price."

"Have an 18 inch calf (have ordered tall english custom boots before so I know how to measure) and the extra wide ones were waaay to big... exchanged for regular "wide".... still way too big. I ordered a women's size 9 and it says 7 on there, they are men's boots being marketed to women. The back rubbed my ankle the second I put them on. Returning second pair... whole thing costs me 40 bucks in shipping. BLAH!"

"They fit like a dream! I have 17 1/2" calfs and am 5'7" the height is perfect and there is plenty of room in the calf to tuck jeans in. The leather is soft and very thick. Am very pleased so far. I got mine when they were half off and I think that was a much better price, but with not many options out there for women with larger calfs you have to pay what they want!"

"I could not be happier with these boots! They fit me perfectly! I can wear them over jeans. They are the most comfy boots I have EVER worn! The material is really soft! The foot-bed is cushy and roomy but still fits nicely in my stirrups to ride.
The calf width is generous - they come up bigger than the FF long show boots and the FF chaps. That means you can wear jeans under them pretty easily. I would say the foot bed maybe runs a little big - sizing similar to Mountain Horse - this is because a UK 7 is not really the same as a US 9, being originally from the UK I can tell you in Ariats (and most other US brands) I need a 9.5 but I am a true UK 7 or EU 40 which manufactures say is a US 9 but its not really, its more like a US 9.5.... so if a Mountain Horse 40 fits you well then probably these will fit you well too in a 9 (and so on)! But a bigger foot-bed also means you can wear nice thick winter socks!
The soles have lots of traction/grip which will be good for snowy winters.
I got these in the sale for $62... honestly they look and feel like $400+ boots... so in terms of value it really could not be any better than this!"

"Beautiful leather, and the first "off the rack" boots that I can wear over my jeans. But the size runs very large. I ordered a size 9-- usually wear a 91/2 US women's shoe-- and the foot is still big even with an insole and athletic sox. I will need more padding before i can wear them to walk around in.
I haven't tried them for riding yet."

"Love these boots. It is really really hard for me to find boots that fit my calf. These boots fit me with room to tuck in Jeans or Jodphers. I love that they are nice enough to wear other place besides the barn. Looking forward to Cooler weather so I can wear them when not at the barn. "I bought the boots at WEG this year and after about two months of wearing 3 to 4 times a week and they fit great and I could wear them with jeans tucked in and thermal pants underneath and still a little room in the XW and I have a 20" calf! BUT the inner lining has gave out and gets caught on my foot/hard to get boots on and off because the lining tears and this is only after two months of wearing. Also around the top where the boot has a stretch strip the leather is starting to tear from getting caught on my stirrup leathers while riding. Over all I love them though and I am ordering the dressage dress boot!"

"I bought second pair after enjoying first pair so well. Wish they were in black and in blue also. Would like inside boot top to be slightly shorter and outside boot top slightly taller to improve fit and appearance. Boots are comfortable and very protective. Great for trail rides. Comfortable to walk and ride in. Get lots of compliments! Drawstring is decorative only."

"Have had these boots about a month and have worn them constantly. I got the XW because I have about an 18.5" calf and the calf fits well, but the top gaps a bit. As they age, I can use the drawstring to tighten. The boots are comfortable and durable. I have ridden in them with no problem. They dropped a bit and put some pressure behind the ankle tendon, so caused a small blister, but as they soften, that is resolving. These boots are good, tough barn boots. They still have style and are a very good value. I have other FF boots and find the fit to be consistent."

"I had been eyeing these boots for several months and finally bought them. The sizing is very generous! I have 18 1-2" calves and bought the wides...they fit great with my jeans! I wore them to WEG and received so many compliments that my friends in their Dubarrys were jealous! :) Great boots...but I can't bring myself to wear them to the barn! I rode in them once, cleaned them immediately, and now wear them everywhere but the barn. They are great boots!"
