I love that this salt comes in a loose form in buckets so I can dole out the exact amount that I need! My horse loves the taste, and it is so much better for her than the pressed white salt blocks!

I love the fact this salt has no chemicals, but feeding it also helps my horses eat powdered supplements that they normally would leave at the bottom of the feeder.

It doesn't matter if it's a salt rock or granular- my horse LOVES Redmond salt! The nice part about granular is that you can control the consumption and add more or less as needed. I feel better knowing it's natural and not processed with chemicals. It also contains over 50 trace minerals.

My horse never uses salt blocks so I give him loose salt top-dressed on his grain. This is a good product and we have other horses on it in block form so I decided to try it in my horse's paks. However, there is not enough in a 'maintenance' serving to make any difference to my horse, especially if he is in moderate work. In the picture the well looks full, but in reality it isn't quite half a well, and is only about half an ounce of salt. Good product, but cost prohibitive to get as much as my horse needs. I will be going back plain salt.

My horse loves this salt! I use a small amount on his grain every evening, a little more if it's been hot out, and he really likes it.

Another great product from A.B.C. This is a nice alternative to pure sodium chloride. I feed a single well of Redmond's salt once a day with dinner and offer a mineral block. My horse cleans his bucket and is a good drinker. I have already mentioned this product to a friend.

I just started my horse on this product less than a month ago, at the recommendation on the back of her grain bag. I started by only giving her half the recommended amount. She seems to not mind this addition to her daily grain ration. I will be upping her to the full dose next month!!!

Sky is a picky eater so it took a week or so for her to get used to the taste of her grain with the salt added. The reason I wanted to add salt to her grain was because she didn't use the salt block in her pasture.

My qh geldings get plain oats, so I like that they get some extra minerals with their salt. Both eat this stuff right up. It's much more convenient than salt blocks, especially at shows, plus they have a constant, regulated intake. Seems to encourage them to drink plenty of water. The price is right too.

I love Redmonds Salt. This product is a great natural alternative to blocks. My horses always love it and use it..when they need it! Thats the best thing- I use it free choice and they can get as much as they need. I just wish it was available in a larger quantity with a bulk price.

This product was recommended by our specialist farrier so I bought a 28 day supply & am splitting it between 2 horses. The mare (who won't eat anything that isn't in pellet form) won't touch it. The old gelding (who won't touch anything that even resembles medication or supplements) licks the bottom of the feeder to get every grain.

I am in HOT SE Louisiana and both of my horses seem to not eat salt. I've tried loose, white & mineral, blocks of varying flavors, all for naught. This is a way for me to know they're getting salt, and minerals, no question. It will be interesting to see if they use the loose salt after I get my pasture minerally balanced as I've heard that can affect salt intake.

With his daily dose of Redmond salt, I never have to worry about whether he's getting enough salt and necessary minerals--especially in the summer. Seems to keep his healthy thirst up too.

We used to use a salt block, but now I offer Redmond Salt to my filly, free-choice. She loves it, and I'm ordering more. This is a superior and economical product I recommend to my friends.
