"I love this jacket, it is super warm, has a really soft fuzzy lining and I love that it has a waist adjustment so it has a more fitted look, while being roomy enough not to restrict movement. Really nice quality. It runs just a little large, which I appreciated I am 5'-8" and 125 lbs. and the small fit perfectly even in sleeve length, with which I can have a problem."

"I purchased the Winnipeg jacket a few months ago. It has a great fit. It is very lightweight making it easy to move and keeps me toasty which is great! I get cold very easily and usually have to wear a lot of layers. Its hard to move freely feeling heavy with too many clothes. The sleeves are long which is great for me as I have long arms. There are two major drawbacks to this jacket. One is the zippers are difficult to open and close. The angle of the side pockets is somewhat odd and I find it difficult to unzip and reach into them for easy and frequent access of Kleenex and Chapstick especially with one hand while riding on the trail. The front zipper is hard for me to get started as there is not a lot of flexibility to it. Sometimes the zippers have a drag to them and take two hands to work. Also to my dismay the quilted section inside the coat by the rear flap has frayed and gotten pills all over it. I haven't even worn this jacket a lot yet. For the cost of this jacket I would expect it to be much better made. It's too bad because the faux fur lining is wonderful and cozy, they should have used something more durable for the lower portion of the liner and zippers that work smooth. So sorry but I am sending it back."

"I bought the Winnipeg for those days when I'm out with my horse and it's really, really cold. It's a nice-looking and functional jacket. It's pretty much what I wanted and includes features I didn't know I needed but appreciate very much (the cool little hand warmer sleeves, for example)."

"I had been in search for a winter riding jacket and am very pleased with this purchase. It does run a little big in my opinion. The fit is nice though that its longer on the back side and has a tailored look with adjustable band, giving it a polished look. Love the longer sleeves and the give in the elbows when riding. I also open the side vents when riding so I'm not overheated but still warm. Cozy lining in the inside too..give this jacket a try!"

"I absolutely love this jacket! I am 5'10", thin, and have very long arms, so long that it's tough to find things to fit in the sleeves. I ordered the small it fit like a glove. The faux fur inside is so soft, the material feels great, and it looks awesome too, not bulky. It's extremely warm; I love the half glove hand warmers. I haven't tested it out in extreme freezing weather, but it's been absolutely perfect in the 40s. Everyone at the barn wants one, this is a great coat!"

"this was on the xmas list, ergo, dutifully I purchased it. The recipient was pleased however there was a quality problem with one of the snaps. A quick, cheerful exchange and she was good to go. Comments are all positive about the product and she stays warm in winter."

"I was given this jacket as a gift last Christmas- I'm a lucky girl! The fit is great and easy to maneuver in for cold climates. Its perfect warmth for tacking up and getting the horse ready- but I found it too warm to actively ride in. While I love this jacket, there are 3 things to keep in mind 1- I have it in green, which I thought would hide horse stains- it doesn't. 2- Like another reviewer said, the hand things do get annoying. Its almost as if the thumb hole needs to be larger to be comfortable for sustained wearing. 3- Durability, its not the best. Within the first 2 weeks the stitching started coming apart around the thumb area, even though I rarely used the thumb peices. Also, the chest pocket, while a great idea, tore taking my cell phone in and out of this pocket. I guess there is no substitute for a carhardt for durability."

"Like the other reviewers, I wanted a warm, but also fitted and attractive winter riding jacket. This fits the bill, looks great, has lots of zippers and pockets for cell phones, vents under the arms if you get too warm, and a nice hood. I have been wearing it out in weather in the teens and am warm (but also layered under it). I find that the thumb things become uncomfortable after a little while, so I usually just slip my hands through without using them. But even so, there are no drafts up my sleeves. I am thinking about getting another for everyday wear even though this one hasn't gotten too dirty or smelly--it seems like it will be a matter of time. Great product!!"

"I had been looking for around 2 years for a jacket that I could ride in fall through spring. The only things that I could find were big and bulky and just not too flattering. If you want something that is warm and fits amazingly, THIS IS YOUR JACKET. The adjustable waistline, adjustable sleeve cuffs, inner sleeve with thumb holes to prevent cold arms, everything about this jacket is exactly what I had been looking for. I find that if I wear a light sweater or sweatshirt under it, it is perfect for cold days. The material is durable and dust wipes right off of it. It also doesn't really retain that horsey smell so you can wear it straight from the barn out shopping. Another thing I liked about this jacket is the hood fits perfectly over top of a helmet without choking you. Bottom line, GREAT INVESTMENT. Also highly recommend the Mountain Horse Polar Breeches. Really warm (they double as my show pants) and easy to ride and maneuver in."
"I love this jacket - it is great looking, light weight and has exceptionally nice detailing. The outer finish is durable and attractive. The fake fur lining feels great and slides easily over clothing. The double zipper opening is great for sitting on the horse. The adjustable waist and cuffs are nice as well as the cuff liner that fits over your thumb and prevents cold drafts up the sleeeve. The one negative comment about the jacket is I wish it was a little warmer. I was hopng to use it as a riding jacket for the winter but when the temperatures get down into the low twenties, it just isn't warm enough. Upper twenties and warmer, it feels great."

"Last year I bought Mt. Horse's Original, and have been very pleased with it and have ridden in it quite a lot. I bought that in a large. This year I wanted to try something more fitted and took a chance and ordered the Winnipeg in a med (I have quite long arms, bad for riding in winter in sleeves too short). The Winnipeg is completely in it's own league compared to the Original. It is much more fitted, even given the style and size differences. The sleeves are plenty long, it is loaded with features I had not expected, like interior cuffs with thumb holes to keep them in place, plus it has nearly the same features as the Original. The fabric is more refined than the Original, this is a riding jacket that easily can go as an errand-running jacket and be still fabulous looking! I bought the red, it is just a gorgeous, deep, rich color."
