"Best barn jacket!! If it did not smell like a horse I would wear it to work everyday. It has been a life saver this winter since the temps stayed in the teens and twenties. This jacket was well worth the purchase. Long enough for my long body and long arms.. hood is perfect for windy and all sorts of wet weather. Runs slightly large but I bought the xl so I could fit lots of layers underneath. I dont really need all those layers anymore so it just looks a bit big on me. Would recommend this jacket to anyone."

"Definitely very versatile- great for winter & rainy weather- Very warm but thin enough that you can wear layers underneath & you won't feel stuffed. I was a little surprised by the noise of the jacket- sounds like a gortex/ rain jacket- crinkles. My horse did not mind the noise though. I love the easy zippers (2-way), lined pockets and the longer cut in the back."

"I read other reviews before purchasing and had high expectations for this jacket. It REALLY is the most fantastic jacket I've ever had. I get compliments everywhere I wear it--it's extremely flattering, really warm but it's not suffocating when the temps increase (I've worn it from 20-60 degrees). it's great in drizzle too."

"I love the fit and style of this coat. I have had Mountain Horse in the past, but I like the cleaner lines of this coat. I personally have found that I didn't use all of the pockets on my other coats. This coat has a very thin layer of insulation which I find perfect since I tend to layer. The sleeves are long enough, even if I would ride in it(which I have not). My only complaint is that when the zipper on the hand pocket is open, the sleeve material rubs a bit. I would buy this jacket again. I ordered a large and it fits perfectly; I am 5'6" and typically wear a medium."

"Got this coat for Christmas and I love it! it is light weight yet very warm! their is extra lining in the bottom and top of the coat to keep you warm. It runs a bit large, but I can wear multiple layers underneath."

"I read the earlier reviews and prayed that the girls were right that this jacket was a nice weight and flattering fit. Terribly pricey, but it fits like a glove ( I'm 5'4" 130lbs)....sz medium. Warm yet breathable and even my teenage daughter approves. Worth it!!!"

"I was hesitant about spending the money on this jacket but am Very Happy that I did! If you're someone who wants good quality that wears well and lives up to its description, this jacket will not disappoint! I gave a 4 for fit because as other reviews state, it does run large, but if you know that going into it and order a size down you will be happy. I wore this jacket heavily every day as I was treating my horse for an injury in the middle of winter and in rain & snow, in temperatures from 0-60 and was completely comfortable at all times. Never was I too hot or too cold and that's perfect since most winter jackets are so bulky. This one is tailored very nicely and you can put it in the washing machine, hang to dry and it'll look brand new again!"

"I ordered this along with 2 Mountain Horse jackets to try. I ordered this jacket in a small, and although it was a flattering fit, it was a bit large on me. It is a nice jacket and I am usually a big fan of Kingsland. However, for the money, I found that the Mountain Horse Forest Rider jacket was a lot more flattering and a much better value. The Mountain Horse jacket isn't as streamlined, but I bet it will keep me warmer and dryer than this jacket would have adn the side gussets on the Mountain Horse jacket are a better design."

"I ride all winter long--outside--no matter what the weather. I'm always, always cold. But I hate looking like a frump, and I hate winter clothes that make me look and feel like a michelin man, so I ignored the price tag and purchased this coat after trying it on and being very pleased with the flattering, athletic cut. Have I found the holy grail of warmth and non-michelinesqe style? Temps here haven't dropped far enough yet for me to know for sure, but I'm hoping so.
I will say that although it is cut so that it fits neatly, there is still plenty of room for me to add an extra heavy sweater or fleece layer if I need to. I'm 5'8", 130 lbs. with broad shoulders and a size medium is just perfect.
Did I mention that the cut is very flattering?
If you like this jacket, but don't want to spend the $$$, then my next recommendation would be the Mountain Horse Winnipeg Jacket, which is also super nice."
