"These are nice breeches for riding and working in the barn. I've worn them in 40 to 50 degree weather and they were very comfortable. I liked them so much I ordered a second pair."

"These breeches are average where warmth is concerned, however they are very good in the wind. There was a noticeable difference between these and my pairs of polar fleece breeches. My only criticism would be that they don't have as much "give" as i am used to making them somewhat tight across my knees when in the saddle."

"Reading the reviews I ordered these breeches a size up and the fit was perfect! They do make a bit of a swish sound when you walk in them but well worth the money. I got them on sale and would definitely order another pair. They are warm, and windproof! I live in Northern Ontario and the winter here is brutal this year!"

"I love these and thought they were a great value for the sale price! They are warm and comfortable but they do run small. The only downside like the other reviews stated is they do make a "swoosh" sound when you walk. Otherwise I love them!"

"Haven't rode yet, but just did chores in 35mph wind with snow, definitely impressed. Might be slick in the seat if you're a novice in an english saddle, but knee patches seem nice. Good fit for a gal with little but real girl figure. 5'7" 125lbs w/a real butt/thigh I'm not a twig and they fit perfect. prolly 14-15"calf, good long lenth just above my ankle bone perfect in a 28R. No room for underclothes though. Average on size I wear gooderider low riders 28L. Go up 1-2sizes if you want to put long johns under. I don't ride extreme blizzard but these would be great indoor arena or brisk windy day at a working trot. If you're western and just sitting you'd be cold. Dressage, and active....you'll be great. Yeah for the price can't be beat! nice dressy black look too, not afraid to wear to town."

"The Mountain Horse Wicked Warm knee patch winter pants were such good quality, nicely made and they looked very durable and warm. I had to return them because they were too small. I may order them in the future again, but go up a size or 2.
I then ordered the On Course Cotton Natural pull ons They run large, so order down a size. I wash and dry them and they are wearing well. Good value.

"These breeches are amazing! They are very comfortable and stylish, keeping me warm in the saddle, around the barn, teaching, and running errands. This winter has been cold in Wisconsin, and these breeches keep my legs comfortable while out in the elements. They are the best winter breeches I have found--all the others pale in comparison! The knee patch version is slightly slippery on cold leather saddles, which the full seat variety may correct. The outer layer is very easy to clean, always making me look ready for my lessons, no matter how many horses I rode earlier in the day! Anyone looking for a valuable pair of winter breeches--these fit the bill. I would wear them all the time if I could!"

"I'm extremely happy with my purchase. When these breeches arrived, we were in a warm spell with temps in the 60s, I wore them anyway and was completely comfortable. Now that the temps are in the single digits with sustained winds over 20mph (yikes!), I'm shocked to say that I'm still comfortable! After hours of barn work and riding, what impressed me the most was the wind blocking and the way that hay and water just slide right off these pants. The fit seemed accurate (28 long), though I could understand some of the previously mentioned concerns with the legs fitting snug. However, it was never a bother to me."

"I ordered them a little big to over my long johns. I love the outer material and the fact that they don't have elastic sock bottoms. Because they are the old velcro bottoms they don't pull my long johns up into a ball under my half chaps. I really love them!!"

"I was excited to see these breeches were on sale and took a chance and ordered a 30 even after reading review after review about ordering a size up because there was no stretch in them. Sadly they were right. If there was a 32 available I would have exchanged them. Now I have no choice but to return and hope my size will be on sale next year :("

"I originally reviewed these as I had returned them; too small. When I saw them on sale I then reordered a smaller size than my normal size as they run about a size and 1/2 small and as it is they are a bit tight. They are also very very short and come down only to my mid calf. I really like them and am making them work, but the problem is the waist is cut in too small for the low waist style it is and you get major muffin top and I am not fat! It's the odd cut. I needed winter breeches in the worst way and the price is so good on sale I kept them. They do make a swishy noise; no big deal to me. They also are not very warm because the fabric though nice and wind proof is thinner than other winter breeches. My butt was ice cold with temps in the high 30's so I think 40 degrees would be about right for these."

"I decided not to exchange these and just send back as I kept the Tuff Riders instead due to much better price, but these, had they not been too tight would have been a close second. They do seem to be not as warm, but maybe that is the thinner technical fabric. As others have said, they do make a swishy sound when walking if that would bother you, but it wouldn't bother me."

"I wear these breeches quite a bit as it gets pretty cold in western NY, the stitching around the knee patch began to rip after the first ride. And the swooshy sound is very annoying. They tend to fit very tightly, so buy a size up. There is very little give in the material which is unfortunate because they really could be great breeches. Overall, I like them but I don't know if I'd get another pair."

"I got these for winter riding, mostly wind that I was worried about. These definitely fit the bill. They are warm and durable. The fabric does make a swooshy noise but once you're in the saddle they are great. Definitely keeps out wind and repels hair and most dirt. The fit is good, although the waist can be a tad tight where everything else fits great. Not much stretch to them though. I'd buy more if there were other colors"

"These are nice breeches, but they do sound a bit like the old "wind" pants when you walk. I bought them for my daughter who is NOT a heavy girl and she laughed when she walked because of the sound they made.
Overall, they are a nice pair of breeches.

"I really like the fabric and lining of these breeches but unfortuately there just wasn't much give so I had to return. When you bent your leg the knee area felt restricted and the rear felt tight when you sat. Great breech but needs a little more stretch/flex."
