"I purchased this pad because one of my mares has a super round back and tiny withers making it very hard to keep a saddle in place. This pad has done the trick! I never feel the saddle moving around under me anymore and even more remarkable, it doesn't move forward on her anymore either. This was pricey, but worth it."

"This is an excellent pad, the non-skid surface ensures that it stays in place even on the longest gallops over rough terrain. There is a thin layer of padding on the upper portion and the sides have no padding at all, allowing it to work very well with my custom fit saddle. I highly recommend this pad to anyone who had a big mover with a tendency to push pads back."

"I have been looking for a form fitting pad for cross country. I didn't like this price tag, but after reading other reviews, I had to try it. Used it for the first time yesterday at a 3 phase and LOVED it. There is a lot of cushening on the spine and the non stick material keeps everything in place.
I have a Courbette Vision saddle that is really long and used to get extra long pads that would still bunch up. This one couldn't fit any better. It's an 18" and this would fit any xc or close contact saddle.
The grip material on the underside is just like the stuff that keeps carpets from slipping. It doesn't pinch the horse's skin at all though.
Loved this and will use it frequently.

In my opinion, it's better to spend more money and get what you want than having 5 mediocre pads laying around that don't work right and don't make you happy."

"I have a "pad spitter" - no matter what you put on my gelding's back, he will spit the pad out behind. Saddle doesn't move - pads fly out right from underneath. His saddle has been professionally fitted and computer scanned, so I know it fits - his big, long shoulder just pushes everything out of the way.
I've tried everything - Nunn Finer no-slip, wet chamois, you name it. The only thing that worked is a perforated gel pad that is around $100, but I was worried about heat build-up in a NC summer. I got this pad as a gift from a friend, and I adore it. It stays put, and I love the cushioning and the fact that it breathes. It's actually quite sharp-looking and fits my extremely-forward flapped saddle very well. I'm definitely buying another to use for stadium (mine is charcoal grey - my xc colors). I can't speak for the durability as I only use mine for competitions/clinics, but it is very well-made and looks brand new even after a few washings."

"I have just started eventing and wanted a pad that could hold up in all three phases. This pad went beyond my expectations. Great quality product. Completely worth the price tag. Looks very professional. This pad withstands the ultimate test of galloping and jumping on the uneven terrain of a cross-country course. My saddle actually stayed in place even when cantering downhill and jumping downhill. This pad is very sporty and I love the way it looks on. The no slip fabric is great and the pad is breathable for the horse too.
I prefer the look of this pad because it doesn't have any of the fleece that some of the other EcoGold pads have. After seeing some of the pads with the fleece in person I thought they looked a little bit cheap. If you are wanting a fleece/sheepskin pad there are some nicer looking ones like Fleeceworks, Equine Comfort Products, and Mattes pads. However, the EcoGold pads are definitely the front runners of any pad as far as keeping your saddle in place, secure, and free from slipping!
I would highly recommend this pad. It is expensive, but completely worth the money."

"Seriously, I was skeptical about paying over $30 for a saddle pad let alone over 100! But it is absolutely the best pad I've ever owned and worth every penny! I've been eventing for 8 years now and nothing has ever come close to the quality of this pad. It has shock absorbing cushioning like a half pad and stays in place better than any no-slip pad I've ever seen. Plus just soak it in some OxiClean and throw it in with your other pads (on cold NOT hot or it will melt!) and its just as beautiful as the day you bought it. Buy this pad because you won't regret it!"

"I love this pad! It fits my saddle perfectly. It helps make it more secure and stable. It is machine washable, however, I don't recommend using the agitator style machine, it can cause some of the stabilizer material to 'wear/rub' off. I love how thin it is, yet padded slightly in the seat. If I ever needed more I would just get a half pad, but I've never needed more. (my saddle does fit my horse) I use it every time I use my jumping saddle, which is 4-5 days a week."
