"My horse is on Ventipulmin for heaves...it is supposed to be administered via syringe...OK works for me but when my non-horsey husband or a non-horsey friend has to dose him, I sure don't want them trying to stick a syringe in his mouth and wasting VERY expensive meds. Trickee Treats to the rescue! They can squirt the syrup into the 'pouch' and since Sup is a bit of a piggy, just put it on top of his grain and it's GONE. :-)"

"I'm not sure why, but I was expecting these to be soft, like the "Pill Pockets" for dogs. I wanted them to deliver my elderly toothless mare her cushing's meds. They hold their shape fairly well if I soak them in a bit of water... First the bottom, then turn it over to soak the top... Then I add the capsule and squish the whole thing in my hand. She loves the taste, and eats it with no problem... Just a bit messy. I wish they were a soft treat, but this works for now."

"I put a bute tab in the Trickee Treat and then stuffed the hole with raisins, it worked most of the time but sometimes my horse wouldn't take the whole thing in his mouth and would just bite it and it would crumble. I think they are a great idea and helpful most of the time. I just expected them to be soft, they are not, they are hard. I would buy them again."

"My horse is kind of dainty and these treats were just too big and hard for him. He rolled them around in his mouth for a while and then spit them out. I tried breaking one up (not an easy task) and he ate the pieces - I think he liked the flavor but they were just too cumbersome for him to eat whole. I did try giving them to other horses in the barn and had a mixed response - some gobbled them right up and others reacted like my horse."

"Everything was great about the product. Smelled great, was pretty hard my horse didn't really like that, and is great for putting stuff in it. But unfortunately my horse knew it the instant it was in his mouth. I fed some treats a couple days ahead of time but he still just spit them out. I tried hollowing out a carrot and filling it, but he wouldn't even take that. Would be great though if horse would eat it!"

"We have a mare that we have to fight to get to take her paste wormer. I end up getting it all over both of us and not much down her. she just see's the tube and throws her head everywhere. Well i gave her a Treat by itself and then filled the next one with the wormer. It all fit in one little treat too. She ate it just like a regular treat and i had her wormed. Wonderful!!"

"My mare can smell a glucosamine product from 20 feet. She snorts the powders and picks out the pellets. I fill two treats with a glucosamine powder and then "glue" (with molasses) a little treat on top like a lid and hand feed them to her. Works beautifully! Thank you, thank you for this product!"

"When it came time to worm my horse, I tried every trick I could think of..to no avail. The whole process became a wrestling match. He would throw his head up to the point of almost rearing back. Fed him the "Trickee Treats" for 5 days, then filled one with the wormer. Fed it to him upside down and he gobbled it up not even knowing the wormer was there. Thanks...great product."

"I was trying to feed my horse a powdered prescription and he did not want anything to with it. I saw these treats and thought it sounded great. When I got them I realized something was missing. There was this hard treat with a big hole in it, but how do I seal the hole? I ended up using molasses and grain to plug the hole, but it seems ridiculous to spend that much on the treats to then have to figure out how to keep the meds in. My horse also seemed turned off by the extreme hardness of the treat, although he did eventually eat them each time."

"My mare is a stinker to worm or medicate, so I got these treats to try to help with med administration. I was excited that these were "all natural," as she usually only has carrots for special treats- I avoid sugar as much as possible. Imagine my surprise when I turned over the package and the ingredient list was over 20 items long- most of it with 4 syllable words that I couldn't pronounce. Still debating on giving them to her..."

"This product smells delicious. My experience with it has been mixed. If you only need to give a couple of tablets (that are not too terribly bad when chewed) or a paste that has a fairly pleasnt flavor, it will probably work. If you are trying to sneak several crushed Zantac tablets into your horse, this probably will not work. I tried mixing the bitter powder with crushed peppermint, a molasses-bran mixture, steamed-rolled oats with peppermint extract, and several other concoctions. I then stuffed the treats with the above items. My horse ate it the first time. After that, he detected the medicine and spit it out. This particular horse will not even take dewormer from this treat. Now, I have a chow hound gelding who will eat anything, and it probably would work with him. As I stated earlier, it is a great idea but may or may not work. It is worth a try; if it does not work, you can always break up the treats into pieces and use them as rewards. None of my guys have been able to resist them as pure treats."

"Glad to see you have these they are GREAT! My gelding takes previcox everyday and I no longer have to guess, when I'm out of town, if he took his pill. I take my 1/4 of a tablet put it in the treat and pack the rest of the hole with all in one and he gobbles it down and looks for more. My daughters mare who is VERY difficult to worm eats them as well and my husbands gelding."

"I was absolutely shocked that this worked on my mare that puts up a fight at the slightest sight or smell of tube dewormer. I expected her to reject this instantly but figured I had nothing to lose by trying. Instead she devoured her cookies filled with dewormer. On the other hand, our aged gelding that will sniff out a microgram of medicine or dewormer in anything won't have anything to do with it. I'll continue to use these on my mare whenever I need to give her something she usually finds objectionable."

"Two out of the three difficult to worm horses that I have in my barn loved these. They ate them with wormer in them with no problems and continued to look for more. The other mare would eat one that had no wormer in it, but when I added the wormer, she proceeded to chew it up slightly and spit it back out. I will continue to use these with the two who will eat them. It made it possible to worm them without a fight."

"My horse is fairly easy to worm and I have never had a problem with it. I bought these to see if it would be a little easier on me. I gave him one alone and he gobbled it right up. I then proceeded to fill one with Equimax and he started to chew it and spit it out all over the place. I think he maybe got a 1/4 dose of what he shold have gotten. I tried to get him to eat the rest but no luck. I think I will stick with the old fashioned back of the tounge method to worm him and just give him these plain till I am done."

"I'm not sure why a treat like this hasn't been made sooner! SmartPak is the first place that I have seen these and they are wonderful! My horse absolutely HATES paste wormer (not that any horses like it). He is a big boy standing at 16.2h and I am only 5'1". He will lift his head way up making it impossible to reach him. He will then spit out any wormer that I can manage to get into his mouth. I decided to try these treats in hopes it would help. What a difference! I gave him one treat first without any wormer. Then I gave one filled with wormer followed by another one empty. He made a face, but other than that it was a million times easier to administer than before. Thanks again SmartPak!!!"
