"I started my 22 year old OTTB on this supplement mid december, because every spring he has horrible coughing spells and allergies, and it had been such a mild winter, I was worried about what this year would bring. I am both surprised and pleased that so far, even with the amount of pollen that is covering all of our vehicles right now, Doc is moving great and rarely do I hear him cough now! This product has turned a skeptic into an advocate! Now I can feel good about my old boy being able to do what he loves to do...jump. Thanks guys! Oh, and did I mention that the old man is the pickiest eater alive? No problems eating this right up though! Hooray!"

"My new filly came with an undisclosed background. While she seems perfectly healthy, she had a consistent 'snotty nose' in the mornings. She has no temp, eats well, overall a normal 2 year old filly ... but it seemed to me she has 'sinus issues' like I do here in the south. I read other reviews for Smart Breath and decided it was worth a shot. She has been on this for 3 weeks now - NO MORE NASAL DISCHARGE! No more coughing to 'clear her throat' when she jogs off! Quick, positive results! I've started my older TB gelding on this too as he has a slight wheeze this time of year. Looking forward to quiet times around my pastures soon!"

"Last year my horse developed respiratory issues-elevated respiration rate and coughing while being ridden. We made a bunch of management changes and put him on very $$$$ medication which didn't really help.
I started him on the SmartBreathe and he is doing much better! He has not coughed at all and his respiration rate is normal. He was on the powder, now he's on the pellets and he gobbles them right up.
A friend has a horse that developed respiratory issues this spring and I suggested she try the smart breathe and her horse is doing well too.
I am convinced it really works....my horse will never be without SmartBreathe!!!"
"My 15 year old TB gelding, who has always been allergy prone (skin, respiratory, you name it), started coughing a lot in June-- eventually it became difficult to do much more than take him on long walks as trotting and cantering led to big coughing fits. So, I decided to try SmartBreathe, and I am happy to say that within a week of starting the supplement his coughing stopped entirely-- I am amazed! I also started him on SmartFlex Senior at the same time, so perhaps the two together boosted the effectiveness (lots of MSM?)
Overall, I am definitely pleased with this product, as is my horse!"

"Despite only using SmartBreathe for a few weeks, we see a definite improvement in our big guy. He's always suffered from seasonal allergies. This summer they seem worse, probably due to the strange weather we've been having. I love that it comes in pellets because he is very picky. It did take a few days to get him to eat it - possibly due to the fact that he needs a larger than average dose due to his size. (weighs 1800+ lbs) He cleans it all up now! It's a relief to see him breathing easier and not coughing so much. Great product & great customer service!"

"I have used smartbreath for the last 2 years on a mare I have who gets a respiratory irritation when she moves indoors for 3 months. The care is great, but she is in more often than she is turned out. I am so impressed with the product, I even recommended it to a student whose horse has seasonal allergies and is often on steroids to help. The smartbreath made a marked difference and she was able to delay the steroids until just a few weeks during the worst of the pollen season. In the past the horse has needed the drug for 4 or more months of the year."

"I have a 24 year old mare that has battled COPD/RAO for several years. She has been retired from riding for about 2 yrs now due to the severity. I have tried all kinds of different supplements as well as some high priced prescriptions. This is the best combination of relief and $$!! SmartBreathe makes a difference not only in the coughing, but in her heaving and attitude. After just one feeding, I could tell a difference and she started chasing the boys off their feed again. Thank You SmartPak for making my old gals life just a little bit easier!!!"

"Ed developed a cough after eating round bales during the winter. I felt terrible for him. He coughed 4 or 5 times in the morning and at night. So no telling how much when I was not around. I learned about smart breath from a very helpful customer service Rep. After about 3 weeks I noticed he coughed less and less every day. He has been on it for a full month now and every now and then ill hear a small cough but its an amazing improvement. I would recommend this to anyone who has a horse that has any type of coughing issues. Thank y'all Smart Pack!"

"My 7yr. old mare was diagnosed with Inflammatory Airway Disease after she had a very bad bout of pneumonia. Once she recovered she has had some coughing, nasal flaring, and reduced performance. I started her on the smartbreath pellets because she will not eat any supplement that is not a pellet. She loves these pellets and after two months of her being on it she is no longer coughing, has a lot less nasal flare, and increased performance!!!!! She still not at the same performance level she used to be but we seem to be on the right track."

"I started using SmartBreathe® Pellets because I have a performance mare that would cough every time she was loped. The coughing would make it difficult for me to ask the horse to perform at her best. I had her checked by the vet and her lungs were clear - so I knew it was some kind of irritation to her airway. I gave SmartBreathe® Pellets a try, I wanted to make my horse comfortable and able to do her job - it worked great. No more coughing - so we are able to practice and show without interruption and no cough syrup. Thanks Smartpak."
"One of our horses, Sarabear, was recently diagnosed with heaves. Although the shot the vet gave her helped her breathing immensely, she still had a pretty nasty cough. I ordered the Smart Breathe hoping that it would help ease her coughing spells, but I was kind of worried that it wouldn't work at all.
Being Miss Persnickety, I was also afraid she wouldn't eat it, but she did (hooray!) Not only that, but her cough began to subside within a few days and after a week it disappeared altogether.
THANK YOU Smart Breathe (Boo-yeah :O)"

"My Buckwheat mule is struggling with a bad case of heaves. The natural support of Smartbreath was a last resort to give her relief. Though I don't believe they were any harm, they did not make her situation any better. After 6 weeks of using the pellets, I can see no improvement. She did not care for the taste and would only eat them when mixed with a lot of other pellets.
Smartpak is an easy company to do business with and the money back guarantee made these well worth the try. Still contemplating about where to go from here."

"Bought it for a 13 brood mare that had developed raspy cough from eating round bales constantly that were too dusty. She didn't want to touch her grain, but since we got the pellets she couldn't sort thru it. Had to leave it hanging in her over the fence feeder until she was hungry enough to give in and eat it. Luckily, that mare has no shortage of spare time. :). Eventually, she'd always eat it, but she didn't like it. However, after just a week, I could see a marked improvement in her breathing and the dry cough had subsided."

"Have a 4 yr old Appendix QH hunter that developed a cough about a year ago. Worse in spring with allergies, better when she's just on grass, soso when she's on hay. Dusty arenas and stall shavings make it worse. Tried this and after a month she's improved 50%. She went from coughing all the time (15 times on a hunter course) to maybe 1-3x prior to a warm up and a few times on course. Hopefully with continued use she will get better. I use the pellets. Wonder if the powdered is better since she tends to drop some of her feed"

"I have a young QH mare that I use in my lesson program as well as local showing & trail riding. She began to develop heaves last fall. The vet had me give her prednisilone which helped 100% but I really didnt want to keep her on a steroid. I tried cough free, which worked but was SO powdery and had a horrible odor that my girl was NOT a fan of. :) Tried SmartBreathe about a month ago and she is doing much better. Not 100%, she still will get a little cough here and there, but she is much happier now. Thanks Smartpak! :)"

"I have a 17 year old qh gelding who has heaves, he was a rescue and was not in the best condition when he was found. I was using cough free when I first got him, but it only came in powder so it made him cough more...I came acrossed these SmartBreathe pellets and it was the best thing I could have done for him. He is atleast 98% better now, He doesnt cough much anymore (only occasionally when hes eating a large amount of hay) and he seems happier. It is worth every penny to not have to hear the poor thing cough all day!"

"I have a mare with allergies and was sneezing and sometimes a cough when under saddle (1st level dressage) and getting hot and this stuff solved about 95% of the breathing issues at a quarter of the price of what I was buying from my vet. It took a while to kick in; about 2 1/2 weeks after I started using it and when stopping it last about a week after. Epona loves to eat it in pelleted form and she is a picky eater, would also suggest a Omega to help with the respiratory illnesses associated with the allergies."
"WOW! I was skeptical but am so impressed with this product. My mare has some seasonal allergy sensitivity in the Spring that causes weepy eyes and some coughing/sneezing. After my vet confirmed that there was nothing serious causing these symptoms, I started her on these pellets. She showed noticiable improvement within 24 hours in both less weepy eyes and much less coughing/sneezing. She is more energetic and definitely more comfortable. While she can be a finicky eater, she has no issue with these pellets."

"We have 2 very important school geldings that are in their later teens and have had a real hard time with heaves the last few years. We usually start them on Dexamethazone(a steroid) by mid-late May or early June. I started them on SmartBreathe less than a month ago and I have not given them one drop of Dex! we even accidentally missed on day of the supplement and noticed a real difference. Got them back on it the next day and they were MUCH better! I LOVE that this has helped out our special boys!!!"

"I bought the Breath Right smart paks about a month ago for my gelding that has a hay allergy. He has had a tough time breathing the past 2 winters. I checked into several options for him, none which would last. Came across this product and gave it a try. He hasn't heaved in over 2 weeks. It took a little time to work, but he is back to his normal playful self. I would recommend anyone try this. I had doubts, but glad I gave it a try. I use the pellets, and he eats them right up without hesitation."
