"My mare's EPM recently relapsed and I wanted to help support her immune system along with medication so I tried this. Along with MSM, she has improved a lot more than I was expecting. I can't directly contribute it to this supplement, but I am sure it has helped. I like that it has pretty high levels of Vitamin E, but I wish they were higher. She hasn't given me any problems eating it and she is VERY picky. I love the fact iti is available as a pellet!"

"After battling with an infection my mare just couldn't shake for months despite constant veterinary intervention, in desperation I turned to try to fix the problem from the inside out. This product was recommended to me along with additional Omega 3 & 6 supplementation and a digestion aid, and within 2 weeks of starting them, my mares condition visibly improved and finally seems to be resolving. Not sure what of this concoction was actually the linchpin, but I know I'm keeping her on all three for several month, till I'm sure she's 100% again."

"I have a possibly immune suppressed horse who has had scratches for 3 years and has a tendency for lymphyngitis. He had it twice in 3 months. His environment has changed and I have been working on the scratches daily since April. It is now August. I decided I needed something for his immune system. Since starting this product I have seen much improvement ."

"I bought this product for my mare who had a chronic eye infection and the worst case of scratches I have ever seen at the time that I bought her. I used this product in conjunction with other treatments and herbal remedies, so, although I can't really identify how helpful this product was, it certainly didn't hurt. Her eye is now asymptomatic and the scratches are healing. I really liked the ingredients as compared with other similar products."

"So I dont really know if this is helping my horse since he has only been on it for a month, but he definately eats it which is a big bonus!
He has lyme so I got it to support his immune system. He will be done with antibiotics in a week and then tested again in 8 weeks. Hopefully this is helping him out!! It seems to be. Definately palatable!"

"I could NOT believe it when my very picky eater gobbled this up like CANDY literally right from my HAND! In fact, we both couldn't get enough of the tasty vanilla aroma.
I think that the doses of C and E should be higher in this since it is supposed to be stronger than the original and also it should include Rose Hips, which are super immune supports. Its a shame that you can't find rose hips in many supplements for immunity anymore.
But besides that, I would absolutely recommend this. If you only want to help or boost your horse's system go with the reg, but if he Needs more support, then I'd say go with this product 100%. It's pricey and could have more bang-for-the-buck$, but I think it is worth it.(And that's no small shanks coming from a penny-pinching-scrimping , rather pay farrier for trimming than horse stylish for hair-cut lady)"

"I put my mare on this product 5 wks prior to being shipped across the country. She has a history of respiratory issues and was recovering from an injury, so I wanted to make sure she was as protected as possible. It wasn't her favorite thing to eat but after a couple days, she happily cleaned her bucket. Within a couple weeks her coat was a neon shiny and her laceration was healing beautifully. She will continue on this product until she is well settled in her new home. LOVE it!"

"My 13 yr old gelding was sick twice in a one year period, each time spending a week in ICU at the vet. The vet said his immune system was compromised, probably due to stress. Tried another brand of immune support supplement, but my horse wouldn't touch it no matter how I tried to disguise it. Then got SmartProtect Ultra Pellets. He loves them, thinks it's a treat. Also started him on SmartPak Ultra Calm. He has been noticeably less spooky and much calmer in new situations. Highly recommend these products."

"Added to my 22 year old TB's order after his 'brother' of 10 years died suddenly in their pasture. After a few days of being depressed and off feed he perked back up again-until this supplement was added. It has a very strong smell which caused him to refuse his grain (not like him). After a few weeks of trying we put his other supplements into his feed, but not this one and he was back to gobbling down his grain. This is one horse who dislikes this supplement."

"I have a grey TB mare whom I've been going back and forth with with a bad case of scratches. I had the idea to put her on a multivitamin to help fight it from the inside out. It does seem to be working, not as persistant with the warmer weather coming in, but I'm finding that the scabs are having a harder time sticking, and the sores arn't so red and irritated. And my horse is super picky and seems to eat this okay!"

"I have a 2 year old mini gelding that has serious upper respiratory problems and a very weakened immune system. I used to give him APF but felt it was too expensive and kind of a pain to feed. I switched to Smart Protect Ultra to help keep his immune system in tip top shape. So far he has not had any relapses. One thing I might add is that he does have an increased amount of hyper energy when I first get him out of the stall."

"We have a beautiful 7 year old quarter horse mare who is a terrific little reiner. Our horse, Roxy, was discovered to have EPM (Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis) a couple of years ago. After a couple of treatments, we decided to try a supplement to boost her immunity. We have been supplementing her diet with SmartProtect Ultra Pellets according to the SmartPak directions, and Roxy has not had to have another treatment for EPM since. She does wonderfully in the show circuit and appears to suffer little if at all from her EPM."

"I bought this product for a couple of my Friesians that travel extensively to shows. It was fairly expensive, but I thought the extra immune protection it would provide would be worth it. Unfortunately, they wouldn't touch it... including the one who will eat anything! I ended up having to give it to a friend. What a waste."

"My boy has a Sorrel coat, white face and two blue eyes. 3 marks against him in the headshaking issue. Meds didnt work, fly masks helped but not totally. So as a last ditch effort I tried SmartProtect Ultra Pellets. With the extra Lysine and Vit E it could only help...right?
