Purchased this to replace a Tipp Sportage that I use for schooling and daily riding. Since I also have a CO JR8 that fits perfectly, I figured this skull would fit the same way in the same size. It doesn't. This helmet seems to be made for rounder heads, as it squeezed my head from front to back and gapped slightly at the sides. Nothing wrong with the helmet itself, but it perplexes me why some helmet manufacturers use different forms for different helmets.
I spoke to the folks at SmartPak and the gal who answered the phone suggested a CO Pro II as being made for more oval heads. So I have one on the way.

This helmet is super light weight and has an excellent harness system that goes right where it is supposed to. It makes for a nice, simple and secure helmet for my husband who is not that keen on wearing helmets.

I have a freakishly round head, and I'm a newbie eventer. This helmet is impeccably made, and has held up great to lots of ride over a year. It fits my round head superbly! I kept it fresh and clean with CO helmet deodorizer. I'll be purchasing this helmet again — if you can ever pry my current one out of my fingers!

For the last few years, I have been using Charles Owen helmets. I bought this helmet for my husband to wear for the infrequent ride and for the frequent times he navigates for me when I am competing in a CDE. He is opinionated so it goes a long way to hear him say that he likes this helmet.

Great Helmet for an eventer looking for a good helmet for jumping/cross country.I love the ventilation holes and its a really comfortable helmet. Its not the fanciest helmet but for the price its perfect
