I was surprised by how light and flimsy these looked and felt, as Herm Sprenger has a reputation for high quality. The Korsteel pair I am replacing are much more solid and heavy. The benefit of the thinner/lighter metal is that they are easy to bend and shape, and they are less likely to jab me in the side of the foot as they have a little 'give'. I think I will keep them, as they fit a little more comfortably and the spur length is better for my horse than my current pair, but I was very taken aback by the apparent poor quality.

These are extremely "chincy" and not worth much. They are light and weak.
They're one size fits all, but will easily bend to a custom fit. They're very round and gentle and are made well. I really like these spurs.

These are a good quality spur. Simple and well made. They are very appropriate for a horse who hasn't experienced spurs yet as they are quite small and add just enough encouragement to encourage a young horse to keep moving forward.
