"We have used this product on our horse when he gets new shoes. Calms him right down and makes for an easy day.
Love the price. About $15 less than the vet.

"Well I knew it would probably not work as a 'in feed' dressing and I was right.
I also knew it most likely wouldn't work on a Wild Mustang (untamed) and it didn't.
It quieted him down but not enough to be handled so I know on a tame horse it would have rocked!
The secret is you have to get it under the tongue!
If I need sedation, I'd get it again....for a tame horse."

"I just found out about this product from my vet this year when I talked to him about what to do for the 4th of July fireworks that my neighbors shoot off right over my horse pasture. I have an Arabian rescue horse that panics and has a history of going through fences and getting seriously hurt. Well I used the Dermosedan gel on both the Arabian and Warmblood and it worked like a champ! They were sedated enough to not worry about the fireworks but not so sedated they were wobbly.
I have never had such a worry free 4th. After the fireworks, they just took a nap and rested. Highly recommend if used for the right reasons.

"This product is definately one that is worth it's weight in gold!! I am not a believer in sedation, Am big on retraining BUT I ended up with an older gelding that will do absolutely anything to keep from getting his sheath cleaned. Of course he is also the type that is excessively dirty and needs it done every few months or he will get sores and an infection. Between the vet call, sedation, and the procedure I am paying close to $200 a pop!! I had a trainer sudgest this product and I asked my vet. We decided to give it a try and see how he does. I had a completely diffrent horse after!! Only thing is with the fglighty ones and with him having such an adversion to the procedure we have had the best luck working him good then giving the gel, put him away in a dark stall for 45or so mins then he is like puddy. While it was still effective we clipped him up and pulled his mane. Is definately worth the 5 starts for both price and effectiveness!!!"

"This product is well worth it!!! My mare can be a handful when it comes to mane pulling and the farrier. Gave her this, and within a half hour, she was zonked out. Waited about an hour as directed for the full effect. She was perfectly still and quite for the mane pulling. Even got to clip her ears and muzzle. It was easy to use, quick, and long lasting. Much simpler (and more affordable) than calling the vet out (especially for something silly like mane pulling)! I couldn't be more pleased. If your vet will prescribe it, I would definitely suggest it!!"

"As a trainer I've come across many hard to handle horses that can become aggressive and intolerant of certain things, to keep the horse and handler safe these horses would often need to be sedated. In the past sedation would usually be given either IM or IV but, now with Dormosedan Gel there are no needles involved and in 25-45 minutes you have a horse that is now completely tolerant of whatever you need to do for the next hour or two! I highly recommend this product."

"Had a bad farrier experience with my horse, so he lost all trust and got aggressive, the new farrier suggested this stuff. One little tube under the tongue, 25 minutes later he was sleeping on the cross ties and the farrier was able to do all his work, and it was not needed the next visit. It worked for about 90 minutes, he started to come out of it, and was very tolerant of the farrier working on his feet. I was able to pull his mane, and clean his sheath and clip his ears while he was on this stuff! Wear gloves to give it. Great for hard to control horses if you need to get a procedure done. Worked better than ace, and worked great after working my horse first. Its pricey, but i do keep a spare tube in my trunk. Made him stand 100% still, head down, relaxed."
