Love these socks. They are comfortable, yet thin enough to wear with my paddocks boots. I've washed them several times already and they are holding up nicely.

The sock material was a lot thicker then I thought it would be, makes it a little difficult to put on my dress boots, that are form fitting. Although they are comfy with my clogs.

These are very nice socks -- good thickness and soft. The knit arch helps keep them in place. I especially like the height ... they come just below my calf, so they don't add bulk to the snuggest part of my tall boots. I've had this style of Ariat sock before and they're good in all but the very coldest weather. The ones I just replaced were very durable as well.

I was searching for a nice pair of black dress socks to wear mainly to work and under my western tall boots. I wanted a pair of over-the-calf socks.
None of the 3 pairs of Ariat socks had a complete enough decription to tell how tall, how thick they were so I ordered one of each to see what they were.
I probably won't order any of them again which is a shame because I've always been a strong Ariat supporter.
My main problem with them is that when I wore them for the first time to work, they slipped down because they are not the over-the-calf socks I had hoped they were. I can't stand socks that even begin to feel like they're slipping down.
If someone were wanting a crew sock for paddock boots or short shoes, maybe they would be good, however, if I'm going to buy crew socks, I'm going to buy the Ovation ones as they have a much cushier foot which helps cushion my heels and alleviates back pain.

I love my ariat socks. I had a pair of these and lost one of the socks and then coudln't find anyone that sold them. Then thankfully besides searching my supplements i purchase through smarkpack, i found my socks I love too through searching! These are great for paddock boots and great for 3 seasons of riding minus winter.
