Troxel Sport Helmet
The Troxel Sport Helmet is an all purpose equestrian riding helmet. It is the original lightweight, vented equestrian safety helmet that redefined comfort and head protection. The Sport is still one of the lightest and most trusted helmets available. It features a Flip-Fold Headliner, integrated visor, seven cooling vents and a removable, washable headliner.

"I first got this model helmet many years ago Replaced that first one just because it was "old" and grungy looking. The second one I replaced after a fall and after realizing I'd had it for 5+ years. Smartpak didn't offer this model in white so I tried another more expensive brand. I wasn't nearly as happy with the fit. I decided to get the black and I actually like how much cleaner it stays. It fits my head shape perfectly and I forget I'm wearing it because it's so lightweight."

"I love this helmet. For the price you can't beat it. For a long time I was using my $200+ Charles Owen helmet for schooling and with the combination of sweat and abuse, I practically destroyed the helmet. Now I keep my fancy show helmet carefully covered in my trunk and use this for schooling and trails.
It is super comfortable, comes with foam inserts to customize to your size, and has plenty of breathablility for hot summer days.
My only complaint is the brim is not secured on very well. A good drop or knocking would probably break the glue. Not a big deal, still worth buying."

"This is my first helmet, so I don't know comparisons, but it is very lightweight and slimline. It is comfortable on and has a removable inside head band, which I like for washing purposes. Compared to other helmets, this one is priced attractively low."

"Not the most stylish helmet you'll ever buy, but for the price it can't be beat. Of course, with safety equipment, price shouldn't be the deciding factor, but this is just as protective as the more expensive helmets. I've had several bad riding accidents, all wearing this helmet, and despite numerous other injuries I've never had a concussion or other head injury.
It's cheap enough that I never try to decide whether a fall was bad enough that it needs to be replaced. I just buy a new one."

"Fit adjustment is made by adding up to 4 cloth pads (included) to the head band. Not a good way to get a snug fit. I expected an adjustment wheel at the back of the head band which was not on this model. I returned with no problem for another brand."

"I like that this cool, comfortable schooling helmet comes with a removable, machine-washable liner. Also like that it is NOT a dial-fit (IME, dial-fits break too easily). I've also always been impressed with the fact that this model ranked safest in the original MDIRF helmet test when compared to a number of more expensive show helmets. At this price, I don't hesitate to replace a helmet after a fall, which is why I continue to school in this helmet rather than similar ventilated helmets that may look more stylish.
Have to admit my A-show barn barnmates never wear schooling helmets, but neither trainers nor barnmates have ever commented on my lack of stylish headgear."
