Much more impressed with the BOT leg wraps, but I think these still work. I ordered mediums for my average size Quarter Horse and they are HUGE! I have to tape them on with electrical tape . . . other then that pretty happy with them.

The boots were made of quality material and looked like would do the perfect job. Unfortunately I had to put my mare down before she wore them. I will continue using Smartpak product due to the high quality Of products offered.

These seem well-constructed and tough. The velcro is super sticky. My horse has been on stall rest for a few months, and am hoping the Back on Track fabric will put him back on track!

My horse needed bell boots for in the stall to keep his elbows from getting funky. After shopping around these boots were actually priced the most fairly for a softer material. Turns out he is recovering from an injury in his hoof so the boots served dual purposes.
I don't think they run large as some other people have said. They are supposed to be used in the stall only and for therapeutic reasons so I wouldn't want boots that barely cover his hoof. FYI my horse is a smaller Thoroughbred with little feet and I bought size Medium boots.
The only problem I have with these boots is their durability. Others mentioned that the stitching on the velcro didn't last and sure enough my boots ripped in about two weeks (of gentle use). I had them fixed by a leather maker so hopefully this wont be an issue again.
Otherwise I really like these boots!

These boots are good and my horse wears them in his stall but when he has ripped the stitching three times already (only had them for a month). They are easy to stitch up and I assume my horse is harder on them than usual but they are not as durable as I would like

I bought these because my horse has collateral ligament injuries in both front feet and coffin joint issues. I wanted to bring relief and soothing to the areas and so I bought the BOT bell boots to increase warmth and circulation. I have BOT quick leg wraps, hock wraps and saddle pads. These are all excellent products, and there is no doubt whatsoever that they increase warmth and circulation. I bought the large as my 17.1 h Holsteiner has very big feet (size 3 shoes). They fit fine. They are not for riding, they are for therapeutic purposes, as another reviewer has stated. You will need other bell boots for work. The bedding in my stall is fine pine that tends to attach in fairly large amounts to the inside material on the bell boots, so when I remove them, I have to brush and pick off the bedding from the inside of the boots, which is a little bit of a hassle, but no big deal whatsoever. When I take them off, my horse's heel bulbs are warm, and my horse is not tripping now that I think of it. I tried putting them on with my BOT quick leg wraps, but they don't fit with them because the leg wraps cover the pastern and fetlock areas (which is a real plus, since I need coverage for those areas). So, I have been using the leg and hock wraps every other night, and the bell boots on alternating nights so far. By the way, my horse has had many injuries (diagnosed with full body nuclear scan and MRIs of three legs) and he is doing amazingly well since stem cell treatment and multiple BOT products. Since they don't cost a ton, I think they are worth trying if you have soncerns about your horse's front feet and associated ligaments.

Along with other additions to her regimen, I used these for my horse's navicular issues. My horse improved greatly and has become her old self again to the point where I am going to attempt to train her (we'll have to see how that goes) so I consider this purchase to be definitely worth it. I gave the product five stars because of the major improvement I've seen. However, the sizes do run large as noted before.
It's worth noting before I write the second half of this review that these are bell boots made for therapeutic applications. They are not bell boots in the real sense of the word. The only real issue I had was that of durability. The Velcro tore off of mine after about six months of use. But in the interest of fairness, those that were suppose to be taking them off while she was in turnout were not doing so, so perhaps that was a large part of it. Even with my issues with the boots (which may not have been their fault), I am buying another pair, and this time I intend to be much more diligent about seeing that they are off and on her at the proper times.
For those that are interested in what I did to help improve my horses condition: I had her trimmed and shod (she had been barefoot) for navicular issues; she received SmartSox (which I was quite happy with) at one point, which I later changed to Isoxuprine (at the vet's suggestion); I added a half a dose of Grand HA to her already existent dose of Smartflex Senior Pellets; and I also added half a dose of Coco Soya SP for the inflammatory help of the omega 3's. Within two months she was acting like her happy, mischievous self again. Of course, I'd be certain to check with your vet first as I have found, as I'm certain many others with navicular horses have, what helps one horse may not help another.
The sizes run big so I had to return them for a smaller size however, I have been using them consistantly but they dont seem to be holding up very well. My horse is very hard on items but they are already getting frayed. I love my Back on Track Items and will continue to keep using them as I do feel that they provide the assistance that our athletes need.
