"I have 2 of the Aptos, and wear them under everything. These things make a GREAT layering piece, really helping to regulate body temperature, whether keep you warm, or cool on those days with big temperature swings. My first one caught a small snag on the sleeve soon after I got it, but it hasn't pulled or ripped further, so I took 1 star off for the ease with which that initial incident occurred. Overall, love them, bought some as Xmas presents."

"Purchased due to the great sale price and was pleasantly surprised, XL was actually roomy, which is not what i have found from other Ariat products, could have gotten away with a large. Length was great, covered my lower back and was easily tucked into breeches. Great base layer that helped keep me warm while grooming and tacking up, but wicked away sweat while riding. Would definitely purchase again."

"I read the reviews and was hesitant after one person said it was really sheer. I love it! It is the perfect layering shirt. It is not see-through, but a light layer. It will be perfect for wearing under other shirts and alone on warmer spring and fall days. The fit is fantastic! Long enough to cover my hips while in the saddle and long enough in the sleeve to not creep up over my wrists when I ride. I loved it so much - I went back to get it in navy - but SmartPak is out - boo."

"After reading the review on this shirt, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I knew I could return it if I wasn't happy. However, on receiving the shirt, I was very pleasantly surprised indeed. The material is on the lighter side, but it certainly isn't sheer or see through. The small fit was perfect for me, and I think it fits true to size, as this is the size I purchase for all my riding tops. The fabric is equipped with the latest moisture-moving technology to keep you cool, hence, the lighter fabric. I find it just perfect for the hot sunny days in California. Just the type of shirt I was looking for. I will be buying another colour for sure."

"This is the first Ariat purchase I have been disappointed with. The fabric is so sheer that it is almost see-thru. Even as a layer shirt, I expected the fabric to be a bit more substantial. Size small fits more like a 2-4. Appears to be well-stitched, and should hold up well."
