Every now and then I would forget to unhook my horse from his trailer tie before opening the door causing panic and a broken tie or halter when Maxwell tried to back out of the trailer. Now I no longer need to worry. The Ping was easy to install and will release in case of an emergency or senior moment from me, his human partner.

My gelding will pull once in a while if hooked to a trailer and it just depends on what the situation is if he's going to stop and relax or not. So this just makes the embarassing issue better and looks so much better than twine tied to the trailer!

Purchased Equi-Ping because I have a horse that tends to pull. She pulled back while tied to the trailer and the Equi-Ping did exactly what it was supposed to. I caught her very easily with no tight rope or pulled off halter. The only bad thing is the little band came off and I couldn't find it in my pasture so now I have to use a braiding band or a piece of baling twine to keep the two pieces together.

I appreciate having these rings to use instead of a piece of baling twine as safety releases on my trailer and at the hitch rack. Have not experienced a "ping" yet, but feel confident they will release as designed. Only drawback--the small "keeper" that holds the "barbs" in place tends to slip off with handling. As I tied my horse up to the trailer last weekend, I suddenly realized the ring was open as my lead rope fell right through. Have to be careful that the keeper is firmly in place at all times. Otherwise, great product and highly recommended, if expensive.

This product is a great solution for a horse who has a fear of being tied. It gives me the piece of mind that if my horse panics, the tie will release and my horse won't hurt herself. However, it is also strong enough to keep her tied in place if she moves around. It is a good tool to help a horse become familiar with feeling tied, but it would break in an emergency situation. I love it.

My horse pulls back very often so wanted to give this a try. Works perfectly but after about 30 breaks, it will need to be replaced. It does state that on the package. Will become too "loose" and horse can pull slightly and will release. I always have an extra on hand for this reason.

Now use these instead of baling twine for tying at my trailer. It seems secure (eg doesn't come flying open in non-emergency situations). I've also used them for hanging water buckets- not sure if that's an intended use but it worked. They are rather expensive compared to other safety tying devices.

Do not use these my horse pulled back in the trailer and it did not release. I am lucky I did not get hurt and my horse only scraped his face. I purchased two of these and will never trust them again!!

The horses I ride don't like crossties. This makes it a snap to attach to the stall walls to tie them for grooming. Big enough to fit around pipe and leave room for rope.

This safety loop is big enough to loop my lead rope and pass it through to tie. I like the fact that it's plastic so I can leave it attached to a tie hook on my trailer all the time and it doesn't make any noise.

My horse has yet to "test" the equi-ping but it is soooooo much nicer than twine which looks awful and shreds on a regular basis. The equi-ping is a perfect size, it is easy to tie the lead rope or clip on a hay net or bucket. The $10 price seemed a bit much but if I still like it as much by the end of the summer as I do now, I will purchase more. I am using it on my trailer but I could see it on cross ties as well.

Safety is a big deal to me, so I was so excited to see this product and to put it to work. I haul daily to ride anywhere from one to four mostly TB event horses. Most of the time, things are great, but as we all know, sometimes they act like, well, horses. My first review was quite positive-- a fresh-off-the-track three year old to exception to something I couldn't see and pulled back. The ping released her and I grabbed the lead and life went on. I thought, excellent, it does exactly what it's supposed to. But the next day, a different horse whipped his head around to see where his buddy was going, and the ping released. He hadn't pulled back, and the quick and easy "give" of the tie freed him to trot off merrily after his friend. I thought, uh oh. I continue to use the ping devices, but I don't trust them to hold my horses-- they give too easily. I've taken to tying the lead to the ping and then taking another loop or two through the tie ring on the trailer, which at least affords me a few seconds to get hands on the horses before they leave. I wouldn't use it if I was going to be out of reach of the horse. So I have to say, I'm not sold. I love the idea, but frankly, I think it's pretty dangerous for them to be able to get loose so easily. So sad that this isn't the answer.

I haven't seen this in action yet, but that day will come and when it does I'll be glad to have it. My TB mare doesn't spook while tied often, but when she does its rare for her to give up until she's lose. After breaking a few halters (now all of them get turned into break-aways) I started using twine everywhere I tied her. I was so excited to have found this! That frustrating ball of twine can be thrown out of my grooming kit forever. I'm excited to see how much this will reduce the drama. I also plan on getting a few more soon, so I can have them stashed everywhere.

This little tie ring is perfect for the trailer...allows you to connect your trailer tie and can also be used to tie your horses to outside of trailer. It is strong yet pliable in opening the ring.

these work! my mare that tends to panic ocassionally when tied - did one day and the equi-ping released immediately, no drama, she just stood there and i picked it back up and reconencted her to the tie ring. no big drama. i have the blocker tie ring too but can only use it with a straight lead rope, the cheap cotton leads get stuck it in when you pull on it.

As much as I was hoping that I wouldn't ever have to find out how it worked ~ I did! It worked exactly how it should have. This is the best $10.00 dollar horse product I have ever bought. He pulled back, it "PINGED" & he pretty much stopped & stood there. Lead rope all intact (with equi-ping still attached). I am going to buy a couple more ~ LOVE this product.
