I love that the browband is the same style as the one that came with the bridle, so the change was asthetically invisible, but my horse is infinitely happier with room for his ears to wiggle better.

I specifically wanted a large plain browband for my draft cross's wide forehead. This one fit the bill. The leather is nice enough that unless you get close and/or feel it, you wouldn't know it wasn't the original Corbette browband. My horse takes regular horse size in every other part of the bridle but the browband. I will say the holes to slide the bridle through we quite snug.

I bought this browband for a new bridle I had purchased for my "hard to fit" TB gelding's head, everything fit except the browband - so I needed to find a quick replacement.Typically my horse wears a Full sized bridle with an Oversized browband. At first, I tried the Oversize - which was VERY Oversize #I believe I measured it between 17-17.5"#. SmartPak's easy returns made it super easy for me to return it, and try the Full size. The Full size fit great #can't recall exactly, but I know it was 16-16.5" in length#. It is a high quality browband made with soft leather and excellent craftsmanship. It has that great leathery smell that you know REAL leather beholds - unlike the cheap plasticky junk from India. I cannot comment on the durability, but I feel it would last virtually forever #never known a horse to break a browband#! The price is excellent and this browband is so well worth it. I don't feel you could be disappointed, unless of course it didn't fit your horse. I feel the only thing SmartPak could do better on this is list the size chart in the description so that nobody mis-orders like I did the first time. Thanks for offering such a great product!

I ordered this to replace one that was too small for my cobb sized horse. A cobb bridle fit but the browband was too tight. This band was too large and I exchanged it.
