Thanks for your question. To determine what size blanket your horse would need, we recommend measuring your horse. The most common way to measure your horse is to take a side measurement. Starting at the center of the chest, run a cloth tape measure in a straight line down your horse’s side to the point of the buttocks (just before the “cheek” meets the tail.) This measurement, in inches, will be your horse’s true size. My quarter horse is the same size as you describe yours. She is a bit overweight, but I use a 76 because of her chest size. A 75 was too tight across her chest and short on her body.
