Thanks for your question! This breastplate does tend to run a little bit large, however it is very adjustable. Our customers have been able to adjust it to fit on a variety of horses ranging from 15 to 17 hands.

This product has a huge range of sizes. I bought it for my 16 hand Trakehner when he was 5 - he's grown a LOT and this product has grown with him. Fits him, and fits my 17.2 hand TB Belgian.
