Thanks for your question. The sizing for these breeches is based on your waist size. If you are generally an 8 in jeans, we'd suggest trying a size 30. We would recommend using a soft measuring tape to measure a bit below your belly button to help determine the best size to order.

You cannot measure for breeches that way. Get a fabric tape measure (the type used by tailors for measurements) and measure your actual waist. Then use the size chart and read reviews to see if they run small, large, or true to size and order based on that. If they are available in regular and long, measure your inseam as well without shoes on and again, reference the size chart! Jeans sizing is subjective, and that's why breeches are offered in waist sizes (24, 26, etc) instead.
